Matokeo ya Darasa la Nne (SFNA Results) 2025/2026

NECTA is a government institution established by Law in 1973 with the responsibility of administering national examinations in Tanzania. Before 1973, all national examinations were administered by the Curriculum and Examinations Section of the Ministry of Education after Mainland Tanzania had pulled out of the East African Examinations Council in 1971.

Having been established, NECTA took over this responsibility but Curriculum issues continued to be handled by the Ministry of Education and the University College, Dar es Salaam until another autonomous institution, the Institute of Curriculum Development (ICD) was established in 1975, which was renamed as the Tanzania Institute of Education (TIE) in 199

National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA) announced Matokeo ya Darasa la Nne 2025/2026 all regions and school registered for the exams were included in the results. Every year national examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA) administer Standard Four National Assessment (SFNA) to students completed four years of Primary schools to make an overall evaluation of students particularly school performance.

These Standard Four National assessment (SFNA) evaluated standard four candidates in almost six Subjects Mathematics, Kiswahili, Science, English, Social Studies, and Civics.

The aim of administering these examination is to make enrollment of students to standard five class level basing on criterial and academic performance set by National Examination Council of Tanzania.

About Standard Four National Assessment

The Standard Four National Assessment (SFNA) is a formative evaluation which intends to monitor pupils’ learning. in order to provide feedback that teachers, students and other educational stakeholders can use to improve teaching and learning. In general, these kind of assessment may useful by educator at primary schools to improve modality of teaching and learning based on weaknesses observed during examination.
