MAENDELEO BANK PLC is the result of a strategical decision made by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania-Eastern and Coastal Diocese in 2008. Maendeleo Bank Plc. (MB) was registered as a Limited Company in February 2011, later changed to Public Limited Company in June 2013
On September 9th 2013, Maendeleo Bank PLC., started business as a regional bank. The bank was issued with a license number NBA 00026 to carry out banking business. Maendeleo Bank became the first company and bank in Tanzania to be listed at the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange Plc (DSE) through the Enterprise Growth Market Window and hence became a Public Limited Company (PLC) from its start. Since then, the bank has been targeting micro, small and medium enterprise markets in Dar es Salaam. Since its launch of operations in September 2013, MB has maintained the underlying vision of building a Tanzanian bank for Tanzanian enterprises.

1: Relationship Manager SME & Corporate (3 Positions)
Job Summary:
Responsible for leading, supervising, and growing a portfolio of Small and Medium Enterprise and Corporate clients.
Key duties include business development, structuring financial solutions, credit management, and mentoring the team to ensure high-quality service delivery and portfolio growth.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Banking and Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar role or managerial position within banking or financial institutions.
2: Relationship Officers – SME (1 Positions)
Job Summary:
Responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of SME and Micro clients.
Key duties include identifying business opportunities, assessing credit needs, preparing loan proposals, and ensuring timely service delivery to align banking products with customer needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Banking and Finance, or a related field.
Experience:

3: Branch Manager – (1 Position)
Job summary:
The Branch Manager oversees all operations of a bank branch, ensuring efficient customer service, compliance with regulations, and achievement of financial targets. They lead and motivate the branch team to drive sales, manage risks, and enhance customer relationships. The role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, analysis and a focus on both business development and operational excellence.
Skills and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business management, banking and finance or related field from a recognized university.
Three (3) years’ experience in similar role or managerial position from Banking or financial institutions is preferred
4: Bank Officers (Teller, Customer Service, Back Office, Agency Banking, Direct Sales agents – (11 Positions).
Job Summary:
Bank officers are responsible for delivering high-quality customer service while performing teller and operational duties, handle day-to-day banking transactions, respond to customer inquiries, promote banking products and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
This role requires accuracy, strong communication skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Skills and experience:
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. experience in similar roles from Banking or financial institutions is added advantage
