Muheza District Council (Wilaya ya Muheza, in Swahili) is one of eleven administrative districts of Tanga Region in Tanzania. The District covers an area of 1,498 km2 (578 sq mi).
It is bordered to the north by Mkinga District, to the east by Tanga and the Indian Ocean, to the south by the Pangani District and Handeni District, and to the west by the Korogwe District.
The district is comparable in size to the land area of Guadeloupe. The town of Muheza, after which the district is named, serves as its administrative capital. According to the 2012 Tanzania National Census, the population of Muheza District had decreased to 238,260; this is less than ten years before, because Mkinga District was created that same year.
The highest point in Muheza District is Kimbo Peak at 1,063m.[5]
The District Executive Director of Muheza District Council invites applications from qualified citizens of Muheza District for the position of Crop Cess Collector for a period of three (03) months as follows:
1.0 CROP CESS COLLECTOR – 18 POSITIONS
1.1 Applicant Qualifications
(a) Must have completed Primary School education (Standard Seven) and above.
(b) Must have experience in using smartphones (tablets).
(c) Must possess a National Identification Number (NIDA).
(d) Must have experience in tax collection for a period of not less than one (1) year.School supplies
1.2 Duties and Responsibilities
(a) To collect crop cess using Point of Sale (POS) machines and submit collected funds to the bank.
(b) To ensure all revenue collection working tools are well maintained.
(c) To be trustworthy in the management of government data.
(d) To maintain and record statistics in the daily revenue collection register.
(e) To ensure all collected funds are deposited into the Council’s bank account and to keep copies of deposit receipts.
1.3 Salary Scale
The salary for this position is Tshs. 200,000/= per month.
1.4 General Conditions for Applicants
(a) All applications must be accompanied by copies of school leaving certificates.
(b) Applications must be accompanied by a copy of the National Identification Card (NIDA) or NIDA number.
