8 Teaching Vacancies at Mpanda Junior Pre& Primary School December 2025

Mpanda Municipal Council began as Mpanda Sub-Town Authority on 1st July, 1990 in accordance with Government Gazette No. 137 of 8th June, 1990. Furthermore, on 1st July, 2003, the Certificate of Establishment of the Sub-Town Authority was issued by the parent Council (Mpanda District Council).

Two years later, the Government through Government Gazette No. 218 of 29th July, 2005 announced the intention to establish Mpanda Town Council.

Accordingly, the Government announced the official establishment of Mpanda Town Council on 1st July, 2007 through Government Gazette No. 136 of 29th September, 2006. This Council is among the 13 new Councils officially established in the 2007/2008 financial year, and separated from their previous Councils. Mpanda Municipal Council was officially announced on 01 July 2015 through Government Announcement No. 220.

The Municipal Director of Mpanda announces to all citizens the following contract employment opportunities:

TEACHERS (05 POSITIONS)

1: Mathematics Teacher: 02 Positions

2: Science Teacher: 01 Position

3: Geography, Art and Sports Teacher: 01 Position

4: Reading and Writing Teacher: 01 Position

Applicant Qualifications:

Must possess a Diploma or Degree in Primary Education from a government-recognized college.

Must be able to teach subjects effectively using the English language.

Experience of at least two years in teaching will be an added advantage.

Must be able to speak both Swahili and English fluently.

Must have studied the relevant subject.

Job Responsibilities:

Teach assigned subjects according to the school timetable.

Maintain the professional ethics of teaching.

Prepare and implement teaching plans and related documents.

Maintain student discipline and a positive learning environment.

Participate fully in school activities and development.

Maintain and properly use teaching and learning materials.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School.

COOK (01 POSITION)

Applicant Qualifications:

Must be able to speak Swahili and English fluently.

Must have Tanzanian values/ethics.

Must have completed Form Four (O-Level).

Must have experience in cooking.

Job Responsibilities:

Cook for students.

Distribute food to students.

Wash utensils.

Maintain cleanliness of the workplace.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School.School supplies

CHILDCARE ATTENDANTS (MATRONS) (02 POSITIONS)

Job Responsibilities:

Supervise students while traveling from home to school and returning home after classes.

Supervise children’s discipline on the bus during travel to and from school.

Supervise the cleanliness of the bus used to transport students.

Provide reports to the Head Teacher regarding student transportation.

Communicate with parents when necessary.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

i) All applicants must submit hand-written application letters in English.

ii) Must be a Tanzanian citizen aged between 18 and 45 years.

iii) All applicants must attach a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) including a current address, reachable phone numbers, email address, and three reliable referees.

iv) All applicants must attach copies of relevant professional certificates and a copy of their NIDA ID.

v) Applicants who studied outside the country must ensure their certificates are verified by the relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, and NACTE).
