1.0 NURSING OFFICERS ASSISTANT CLASS II SIX (06)
(a) EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a holder of a Diploma in Nursing, from a recognized institution by the Government, registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Duties and responsibilities
i) Nursing services
ii) Collecting vital health data.
iii) Directing the work of nurses under you
iv) Educating patients and the community about their health problems
v) Providing preventive and reproductive services
vi) Performing other tasks assigned by your supervisor
related to your education, experience and skills.
2.0 HEALTH ASSISTANTS FOUR (04)
(a) EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS
Must have completed Form Four and received one year of training in the field of health.
Duties and Responsibilities
i) Cleaning work equipment, cleaning wards and surroundings
ii) Assisting disabled and infirm patients in defecating (large and small) and bathing
iii) Assisting in feeding infirm patients
iv) Collecting patient’s clothes to be taken to the laundry
v) Taking patient samples for laboratory tests and monitoring results.
vi) Prepare equipment for cleaning and dressing wounds
vii) Monitor the needs of patients from the medicine store
viii) Perform other activities assigned by your supervisor.
3.0 THREE (03) RADIATION TECHNOLOGISTS
(a) EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a holder of a Diploma in Technology from a recognized University by the Government and who are registered with the relevant Councils
Duties and Responsibilities
i) Treat patients referred to your work area with the correct radiation prescribed by a Radiologist
ii) Maintain Radiotherapy equipment and facilities in your work area
iii) Inspect and monitor the quality of radiation emitted by Radiotherapy equipment (Radio – therapeutic quality)
iv) Supervise subordinates
v) Provide advice on Radiotherapy and radiation work issues in your work area.
vi) Prepare medical/diagnostic equipment and supervise sterilization of equipment in your work area
vii) Provide initial training to employees assigned to work in your work area
viii) Perform other duties assigned to you by your supervisor that are related to your education, experience and skills.
4.0 TWO MEDICAL TECHNOLOGISTS (02)
(a) QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a holder of a Diploma in Technology from a recognized University by the Government and who are registered with the relevant Councils
Duties and Responsibilities
i) Identify, prepare and order the requirements of medicines and medical equipment in your work area.
ii) Distributing medicines and medical supplies to patients and staff
iii) Mixing medicines
iv) Storing medicines and medical supplies
v) Inspecting medicines, medical supplies, chemicals, reagents and cosmetics in your work area
vi) Preparing medical/examination equipment and supervising the sterilization in your work area (sterilization)
vii) Providing initial training to staff assigned to your work area.
viii) Performing other tasks assigned by your superiors that are relevant to your education, experience and skills.
5: TWO (02) PHARMACEUTICAL TECHNOLOGISTS
a) EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS
holders of a Diploma in Technology from a local University and who are registered with the relevant Councils
Duties and Responsibilities
i) Identify, prepare and order pharmaceutical requirements and
in your area of ​​work.
ii) Distributing medicines and medical supplies to patients and staff
iii) Mixing medicines
iv) Storing medicines and medical supplies
v) Inspecting medicines, medical supplies, chemicals, reagents and supplies your work area
vi) Educating the community about the proper use of medicines
vii) Providing information on the side effects of the use of medicines
vii) Coordinating the work of the Hospital Medicine Committee
ix) Preparing reports on the use of medicines and medical supplies
x) Conducting quality inspections of medicines, medical supplies, chemicals, reagents and cosmetics.
xi) Conducting various inspections in areas where medicines are stored
xii) Supervising the work performance of employees under you
xii) Maintaining records of medicines and medical supplies.
xiv) Provide initial training to employees assigned to work in your work area
