5631 VETA Training Opportunities YEFFA Project January 2026
The Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) has entered into a partnership agreement with AMSHA, RUATI, TAMA and MIBOS institutions through the Youth Entrepreneurship for the Future of Food and Agriculture (YEFFA) Project.
The project is funded by AGRA Tanzania and is being implemented through VETA’s Kihonda, Manyara, Mpanda and Arusha (Oljoro) colleges. The training is expected to be delivered in four phases, with the first phase starting on January 19, 2026.
The project will benefit a total of 5,631 Tanzanian youth from the Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Tanga, Lindi, Morogoro, Pwani, Ruvuma, Njombe, Iringa, Manyara, Singida, Dodoma, Tabora, Katavi, Kigoma, Rukwa, Mbeya, Songwe and Kagera Regions.
VETA is inviting applications for vocational training through the YEFFA project. The training will be a full-time (Day Programme).
PROFESSIONAL TO BE OFFERED
i) Agro-Mechanics – Training period: four weeks
ii) Irrigation Technology – Training period: two weeks
iii) Post-Harvest Technology – Training period: two weeks.
ELIGIBILITY
The applicant must have the following qualifications:
i. A Tanzanian youth between the ages of 15 and 35.
ii. A person who can read and write, has completed primary education and above.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
i. Applications will be made online through the system available on the VETA website: www.veta.go.tz or hard copies of the forms available at VETA campuses Kihonda, Manyara, Mpanda, Moshi, Tanga, Lindi, Pwani, Songea, Iringa, Ludewa, Singida, Dodoma, Tabora, Kigoma, Rukwa, Mbeya, Kagera and Arusha (Oljoro).
ii. The applicant is required to return the form attaching a birth certificate or a letter from the Local Government Chairperson and educational certificates.
iii. The forms will be returned to the relevant campus or online through the application system.
iv. All forms will be provided free of charge.
APPLICATION PERIOD
Forms will be issued from 19th December, 2025 and the last date for collecting and returning the form is 2nd January, 2026.
TRAINING FEES AND COSTS
Only the training fee will be borne by the Project. Other expenses such as fare, food, accommodation for those coming from far away from the colleges that will provide training will be borne by the parent/guardian/student concerned. Women and people with special needs will be given priority.
