The Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) is a Tanzanian Premium Health and Allied Sciences University established in 2007 through Article 1 of the Charter of Incorporation in line with the Universities Act No 7 of 2005. Since its establishment, MUHAS has managed to have a range of programmes in biomedical, clinical and allied health sciences which necessitates increasing of number of staff to perform its intended function. In this context, MUHAS is inviting applications from suitable candidates for various posts as itemized below for teaching the programmes across seven Schools and one academic Institute of the University.

JOB SUMMARY
A. Clinical Officers
We are seeking qualified and registered Clinical Officers to join our research team. As a Clinical Officer, you will conduct clinical assessments, collect data both electronically and hard copies, and provide medical care to study participants, including obtaining specimen for research.
B. Assistant Nurse Officers
we are seeking qualified and registered Assistant Nurse Officers to join our research team. As an Assistant Nurse Officer, you will conduct clinical assessments, collect data both electronically and hard copies, and provide nursing care to study participants, including obtaining specimen for research.
CLINICAL OFFICER – 4 POSTS
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(i) Conduct clinical examinations and assessments;
(ii) Collect and manage study data;
(iii) Provide medical care and support to participants;
(iv) Collaborate with study team members;
(v) Adhere to study protocols and GCP guidelines and;
(vi) Perform any other duties that may be assigned by a relevant authority.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Holder of Diploma in Clinical Medicine from a recognized reputable university. Applicants must Registered with the Tanzania Medical Council (MCT), at least 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting and experience in research studies is an added advantage.
ASSISTANT NURSING OFFICER – 4 POSTS
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(i) Conduct clinical examinations and assessments;
(ii) Collect and manage study data;
(iii) Provide nursing care and support to participants;
(iv) Collaborate with study team members;
(v) Adhere to study protocols and GCP guidelines and;
(vi) Perform any other duties that may be assigned by a relevant authority.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Holder of Diploma in Nursing from a recognized reputable university. Applicants must Registered with the Tanzania Nursing and midwives Council, at least 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting and experience in research studies is an added advantage.
