8 Job Opportuniries at Chemba District Council March 2026, The Executive Director of Chemba District Council invites qualified Tanzanians to apply for eight (08) job positions in this Council after obtaining approval from the President’s Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance with the following breakdown:-.

1.0 DRIVER CLASS II – 4 POSITIONS

1.0.1 DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

i. Inspecting vehicles before and after trips to determine the safety of vehicles

ii. Sending employees to various locations on business trips

iii. Carrying out minor vehicle repairs

iv. Collecting and distributing various documents

v. Filling and maintaining information on all trips in the trip log

vi. Cleaning the vehicle

vii. To perform other duties as directed by his/her supervisor

1.0.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

To be employed with a Form IV certificate and a Class E or C driving license, which they have worked for a period of not less than one (1) year
without causing an accident, along with training certificates that qualified them to obtain the relevant classes. He/she must also have attended a Basic Driving Course provided by any government-recognized institution.

1.0.3 SALARY LEVEL

1.1 OFFICE EXECUTIVE  GRADE II – POSITION 4

1.1.1 DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

i. Typing letters, reports and regular and confidential documents;

ii. Receiving visitors and presenting their problems, and directing them to the place where they can be addressed;

iii. Maintaining information and records of events, appointments, visitors, dates of meetings, the Head’s trips and other work schedules;

iv. Searching for files and documents required in the implementation of the job responsibilities;

v. Receive files and distribute them to officers in the relevant department/unit/section;

vi. Collect, maintain and return files and documents to the relevant departments;

vii. Organize extracts and make preparations for various meetings; and

viii. Prepare a list of office equipment requirements.

1.1.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

To be employed Form Four or Form Six graduates with a Diploma in Accounting or an NTA level 6 certificate in Accounting. In addition,
he/she must have passed the Kiswahili and English Typing subject of 100 words per minute and have received training in office computer programs such as: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, E-mail and Publisher from any university recognized by the Government.

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR THE NAMED JOB.

i. All applicants must be Tanzanian Citizens aged 18 years and not exceeding 45 years

ii. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and should specify in the application form the type of Disability they have for

iii. Applicants should attach a satisfactory personal statement, a Curriculum Vitae (CV) with a valid address, available telephone numbers and an e-mail address (E-mail address) along with the names of three reliable referees. “Provisional “/Testimonials”/ “Statement of results” and Form IV and Form VI results slips will NOT be accepted.

iv. All applicants should attach a birth certificate certified by a Lawyer/Attorney.

v. Applicants who have retired from the Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have the approval of the Principal Secretary.

vi. Applicants who are already Public Servants and have qualified for a cadre different from their current one, should forward their application letters to their employers and their employers should satisfy themselves accordingly.

vii. Applicants who are already employed in entry-level positions in the Public Service, should not apply and should adhere to the instructions contained in Document No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30th November, 2010.

viii. All applications should be accompanied by certificates professional qualifications certified by a Lawyer/Attorney which are Form Four certificates, Form Six certificates for those who have reached that level and certificates of various training qualifications based on the qualifications of the relevant job.

ix. Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Dilpoma/Certificates, – Certificate of Form IV and VI examination, – Computer Certificate, – Professional Certificate from Respective Boards.

x. Applicants who studied abroad should ensure that their certificates are certified by the relevant Authorities (TCU, NECTA and NACTE).

xi. Submission of forged Information and Qualifications, those involved will be taken to legal action.

xii. The application letter should be written in Swahili or English.

xiii. The deadline for receiving application letters is March 11, 2026.
