Bandari College Dar es Salaam (BCD) is a technical institution owned by Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) registered by the National Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET) in 2003 with registration number REG/EOS/018.

BCD is situated at Tandika Ward, Mahunda street, adjacent to Mwembe Yanga playgrounds in Temeke District, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. In this context, BCD is inviting applications from suitable candidates for various posts as itemized below for teaching the programmes in Engineering and Transport Cargo and Marine Operations (TCMO) departments.

2.0 Part Time Instructors – 2 POSTS

2.1. Reports to: Head of Engineering Department

2.2. Job Purpose

Deliver quality instruction and assess learners to ensure that they acquire the knowledge, skills, and competencies for their academic development.

2.3. Duties and Responsibilities

i). To prepare teaching and learning materials;

ii). To teach NTA Level 4-6 students;

iii). To assess and compile students’ continuous assessment (CA) as per College examination regulation requirements;

iv). To set end of semester examinations (SE) and the respective marking guides for the module taught;

v). To invigilate tests and end of semester examinations for NTA Level 4-6 students as per invigilation schedule;

vi). To mark end of semester examinations in your areas of specialization;

vii). To upload CA and SE results into SIMS;

viii). To perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

2.4. Qualifications and Experience

Holder of a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with a GPA of 3.5 or above from a recognized Higher Learning Institution. Must be Computer literate and have presentation skills. Holding a master’s degree and/or relevant working experience will be an added advantage.

2.5. Remuneration

Payment will be provided in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in your contract letter.

2.8. Job Purpose

2.9. Duties and Responsibilities

ii). To teach NTA Level 4-6 students;

3.1 Remuneration

Payment will be provided in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in your contract letter.

(a) Master/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates;

(c) Form IV and Form VI National Examination certificates;

(d) Professional Registration and Training Certificates from respective Registration or Regulatory Bodies (where applicable);

(e) Birth Certificate;

vi. Attaching copies of the following certificates is strictly not accepted:

a) Form IV and Form VI results slip;

b) Testimonials and all Partial transcripts;

vii. An applicant must attach recent Passport Size Photo in the application letter;

viii. An applicant should indicate three reputable referees with their reliable contacts;

ix. The National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA) should verify certificates from foreign examination bodies for Ordinary or Advanced level education;

x. The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) and National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) should verify certificates from foreign Universities and other training institutions;

xi. Deadline for application is 21st February, 2026;
