New Vacancies at Kilombero Sugar Company Limited February 2026, Kilombero Sugar Company Limited (KSCL) is the largest sugar producer in Tanzania and a significant contributor to the nation’s economy and its goal of sugar self-sufficiency.
The company is primarily owned by Illovo Sugar Africa (75% shareholding), which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Londo listed Associated British Foods plc (ABF), with the remaining 25% held by the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania.
Located in the Morogoro region, KSCL operates two adjacent agricultural estates and sugar factories, Msolwa and Ruembe, linked by a low level bridge across the Great Ruaha River.
 1: Nurse Anaesthetic – 1 Position
Overall, Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible of administration of safe anaesthesia during surgical, therapeutic, diagnostic, and obstetric procedures.
Key Accountabilities
• Participate in elective and emergency theatre work and provide a high degree of input into high care and obstetric services and cover on call after hours.
• Lease with the pre-clerking nurses regarding patients who will require postoperative critical care and to carry out the pre-operative visits to evaluate and prepare patients for anaesthesia, providing education about surgery and recovery, and discussing the side effects of anaesthesia with them.
• Determine the amount and type of anaesthesia needed for the patient and the best way to administer it.
• Administer anaesthesia to patients to keep patients asleep or pain-free during surgery, according to hospital policy.
• Monitor and maintain patients’ vital signs and their dose of anaesthesia during surgical procedures.
• Oversee and manage patients’ safety during anaesthesia recovery.
• Provide follow-up care to patients transferred to high care ward areas.
• Work with a multi-professional team in the wards and emergency room in response to patients requiring critical care or resuscitation and provide expert emergency response intervention and support.
• Pursue strategies to continually improve workflow efficiencies, quality of services, patient satisfaction and staff/patient safety in theatre, emergency room and ambulance services
• Participate in continuous quality improvement activities as required by the hospital.
• Adhere to the infection and control (IPC) standard operating procedures including autoclaving/sterilizing of instruments and good housekeeping
•Collaborate with the medical team on patient case management (i.e., consultation, prescribing and dispensing of medication), where applicable and in line with stipulated country regulations
• Maintain confidentiality in matters related to patient, family and medical facility staff.
• Participate in on-call emergency theatre coverage at the hospital
• Conducting delivery and giving health education to pregnant women at labor and RCH clinic.
Qualifications And Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Nursing and Midwife
• Post Basic qualification in Nurse Anaesthetist
• Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in obstetrics and trauma anaesthesia
• Registration with relevant professional health body with valid nursing practicing license
Terms of Service: The successful candidate will be engaged on a Permanent Contract.

2: Crane Operator – 1 Position
Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible to operate the mobile crane safely and efficiently according to standard operating procedures to ensure safety and performance requirements are met.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Perform daily and weekly inspection, maintenance and cleaning procedures on the crane, chain, Sling and pads and report any deviations Foreman.
Assist in breakdown or maintenance work as required.
Ensure a proper handing over to ensure effective and safe operations.
Park the Machine in a safe position.
Work with Supervisors and Customers in determining the work to be completed.
Work with a Rigger technician to complete work on a safe and acceptable standard.
Following the SOP and participate in Risk Assessment before attending any Task.
Contribute to problem solving during CI meetings by identifying areas for improvement and making suggestions.
Ensure that work is done to the relevant safety standards.
Performs all tasks according to Kilombero Sugar’s Quality, Safety, Health and Environment policies and procedures.
If any situation that is non- conforming to required standards, unsafe, or unhealthy, or anything that threatens to impact on the environment comes to your attention, report this to your superior using the existing incident report system.
Ensures that all operations are carried out as per the ISO 9001/ISO 22000 to achieve quality and food safety standards.
Carries out any other requested duties relating to the facility.
Job Qualification and Experience
Certificate of Lifting Operation Course from a recognized Institution
Valid Driver’s License (Class G & F)
Ordinary Level Certificate
1- 3 years of hands-on experience operating cranes or heavy machinery
Ability to operate specific crane types (e.g. Mobile Crane)
Good communication skills.
