1: Section Planner 1
Job Purpose
Partner with factory operations team to drive operational excellence across factory operations and build shared sense of goals and purpose throughout the production function.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the planning and scheduling of all reactive and/or preventative maintenance work for season maintenance initiatives to achieve optimal cost efficiency, asset availability, longevity, and performance.
Develop maintenance of job plans and prepare them for scheduling and execution in season.
Develop and maintain long-and short-term maintenance schedules in conjunction with operations during season and off-crop.
Achieving the overall objectives of the Company by ensuring the application of the Codes of Practice SABS ISO 9002.
NOSA.
Support the implementation of the “Illovo Way of Maintenance” (iAMP) to ensure Illovo is the best-in-class sugar & downstream producer.
Monitor and manage maintenance requests and resource availability.
Maximize the effectiveness of the available budget to promote equipment reliability, performance, and longevity.
Provide data and reporting to relevant stakeholders to improve decision making.
Promote cross-functional and stakeholder engagement & teamwork and manage critical stakeholder engagements & interfaces between vendors, suppliers, stores and inventory, and procurement.

Specific Job Responsibilities:Conducts routine maintenance and/or repair and installation of electrical equipment, MCC’s, electronic control, communication and computerised devices.
Ensures that electrical equipment and instrumentation are in good working condition.
Carries out allocated electronic & electro pneumatic calibration and/or repairing tasks
Communicates and inform colleagues and Line Management on the functioning of electrical equipment.
Carries out planned maintenance on electrical equipment including troubleshooting and servicing.
Reports on the status of the Electrical spares and requirements.
Install and commissions instrumentation and electrical projects.
Install/Assist to install mechanical and Control instrumentation equipment and pumps.
Ensure all processes are executed in local good practices for safety, health, environment and quality. This specifically includes the use of required personal protective equipment and ensuring all tasks are executed with safety in mind.
To do maintenance effectively to assure equipment availability
Minimum Requirements:
Diploma/FTC in Electrical Engineering/ NTA level 6 in Electrical Engineering from a recognized Institution.
Extensive knowledge in Electric circuits reading and interpreting, faults tracing and rectification.
3+ years in maintenance of electrical equipment in a chemical manufacturing facility, preferably a Distillery.
Understanding of electrical systems, circuit diagrams, and schematics.
Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC)
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
Experience with wiring, conduit installation, and electrical component replacement
Knowledge of Electrical drawing packages such as AutoCAD
Ability to work safely in potentially hazardous environment
3: Technician Instrumentation 2
Job purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible to maintain, repair, install and calibrate all instrumentation equipment, electronic and electro–pneumatic instruments and weighing devices to required standards and accuracy.
Specific job responsibilities:
Electrical /Instrumentation /Mechanical fault tracing and rectification
Report writing
Training of subordinates
Hands-on involvement in maintenance work
Conducts routine inspections of electronic field and control panel instruments, computers, DCS systems and Plc systems
Do planned maintenance tasks to Ensures that instrumentation, electrical and mechanical equipment are in good working condition to ensure plant optimum operation

Minimum Job Requirements:

2+ years in maintenance of Instrumentation in a chemical manufacturing facility, preferably a Distillery.

4: Mechanical Technician 1
Job Purpose
The Successful Candidate will be responsible to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems to ensure their safe and efficient operation, supporting the organization’s goals.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures that all operations are carried out as per the ISO 9001: 2000 Quality Management System at Kilombero Sugar to achieve the quality standards.
Read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and OEM manuals to guide equipment servicing.
Support planned shutdowns, equipment overhauls, and installation of new machinery.
Adhere to safety protocols including lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and hot work procedures.
Performs all tasks according to Kilombero Sugar’s Quality, Safety, Health and Environment policies and procedures.
Take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other persons who may be affected by what you do or do not do.
Co-operate with management to enable them to perform their duties under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
If any situation that is non- conforming to required standards, unsafe, or unhealthy, or anything that threatens to impact the environment comes to your attention, report this to your superior using the existing incident report system.
Minimum Job Requirements
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
Full Technician Certificate in Mechanical (essential technical skills in maintenance, repair, and installation)
2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in mechanical maintenance, repair, and installation preferably chemical manufacturing.

5: Boiler Making Maintainence worker – welder 2
JOB PURPOSE
The successful candidate will be responsible for making spare parts, maintaining welding tools and equipment in good condition, ensuring the safety of all workers, and promoting effective housekeeping practices in the workplace.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fabricating/Welding
Installing of welded equipments.
Maintaining &repair vessel tanks.
Repair and upkeep of existing metal structure and machinery
Common Task: Reading Blueprint, using oxy- fuel cutting torches, performing Arc, (SMAW), MIG, (GMAW) or TIG.

6: Inventory Master Data Analyst 1
Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible to Manage & maintain the Kilombero Inventory Master Data in accordance with department strategy and policies, also to manage the creation and codification of new Master Data according to market related standards and template and to drive the use of Master Data for purchasing as an enabler to support Group Procurement and Reliability strategy.
Specific Duties and responsibilities:
7: Nurse Anaesthetic 1
Overall, Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible of administration of safe anaesthesia during surgical, therapeutic, diagnostic, and obstetric procedures.
Key Accountabilities
• Participate in elective and emergency theatre work and provide a high degree of input into high care and obstetric services and cover on call after hours.
• Lease with the pre-clerking nurses regarding patients who will require postoperative critical care and to carry out the pre-operative visits to evaluate and prepare patients for anaesthesia, providing education about surgery and recovery, and discussing the side effects of anaesthesia with them.
• Determine the amount and type of anaesthesia needed for the patient and the best way to administer it.
• Administer anaesthesia to patients to keep patients asleep or pain-free during surgery, according to hospital policy.
• Monitor and maintain patients’ vital signs and their dose of anaesthesia during surgical procedures.
• Oversee and manage patients’ safety during anaesthesia recovery.
Qualifications And Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Nursing and Midwife
• Post Basic qualification in Nurse Anaesthetist
• Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in obstetrics and trauma anaesthesia
• Registration with relevant professional health body with valid nursing practicing license
8: Crane Operator 1
Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible to operate the mobile crane safely and efficiently according to standard operating procedures to ensure safety and performance requirements are met.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Perform daily and weekly inspection, maintenance and cleaning procedures on the crane, chain, Sling and pads and report any deviations Foreman.
Assist in breakdown or maintenance work as required.
Ensure a proper handing over to ensure effective and safe operations.
Park the Machine in a safe position.
Work with Supervisors and Customers in determining the work to be completed.
Work with a Rigger technician to complete work on a safe and acceptable standard.
Following the SOP and participate in Risk Assessment before attending any Task.
Job Qualification and Experience
Certificate of Lifting Operation Course from a recognized Institution
Valid Driver’s License (Class G & F)
Ordinary Level Certificate
1- 3 years of hands-on experience operating cranes or heavy machinery
Ability to operate specific crane types (e.g. Mobile Crane)
Good communication skills.
