1: Field Worker (1 post) – (DYNAMIA Study), Bagamoyo
The Field Worker will be responsible for conducting follow-up visits with study participants within the community to assess their wellbeing
Position Summary
Ifakara Health Institute is seeking a qualified Field Worker to be based at the Bagamoyo Branch to support the implementation of the DYNAMIA Study. The successful candidate will play a key role in conducting field-based research activities, including participant recruitment, follow-up, data collection, and community engagement, while ensuring strict adherence to study protocols and ethical standards.
The Field Worker will be responsible for conducting follow-up visits with study participants within the community to assess their wellbeing after administration of investigational products. This includes accurate and complete documentation of adverse events in electronic case report forms during home visits, ensuring compliance with study requirements, and supporting participant reimbursement processes as outlined in the study protocol.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must have a minimum of a Secondary School education.
Experience working in a research environment is required. Experience in blood sample collection and working with infants will be considered an added advantage.

He/she will conduct entomological fieldwork as assigned, support the preparation and implementation of experiments
Position Summary
Ifakara Health Institute is seeking a qualified Field Worker to be based at the Bagamoyo Office to support day-to-day laboratory and insectary operations under Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth implementation of studies by supporting routine laboratory activities, maintaining insectary facilities, and assisting in entomological research activities.
The Field Worker will be responsible for supporting the daily running of studies in compliance with approved protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This includes maintaining laboratory and insectary equipment, ensuring facilities are in proper working condition, recording environmental parameters such as room temperature, and reporting any equipment malfunctions to the Insectary Manager.
