1: Leading Hand Mechanic

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Relevant Trade Certificate Diesel Mechanic/ Fitter.

Valid Driver’s License.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Diesel Mechanic/ Fitter

2: Mechanical Supervisor

Experience and Competencies needed

At least five (5) years working experience in Underground Maintenance Operation

A relevant trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

Experience in systematic coaching and training of employees is essential.

Experience with computerized maintenance systems, e.g. SAP, is essential

Reliable, trustworthy and be able to cope with pressure.

Vast experience in maintenance of Sandvik underground equipment including Drills, Trucks and loaders.

Experience in maintenance of underground auxiliary equipment including but not limited to CAT Integrated Tool Carriers, Normet Agi’s & Spraymec, Macleans EC3 units.
Excellent knowledge of standards, methods and maintenance procedures of the job.

Well-developed oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to interact with People of diverse cultures and levels.

Ability to work for long hours.

Medical fitness for the position and environment.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Valid Tanzanian driver’s license and proficiency in driving light vehicles

3: Cable Bolter Trainer

Qualification requirements

Tertiary or ordinary secondary education.

Having a valid driving license.

A degree or Diploma in Mining Engineering will be of added advantage.

Experience and competencies needed.

Minimum of 3 – 5 years of practical experience in operating a Cable Bolter in an underground mining environment.

Underground drilling knowledge and skills.

Previous operation of Sandvik or Atlas Copco Cable Bolters will be advantageous.

Ability to read and understand cable bolt layouts.

Strong knowledge & understanding of ground support standards.

Sound knowledge and experience of underground mining practices and operations.

Knowledge of Safety, Health, and Environmental Legislation and standards applicable to underground mining

4: Instrumentation Foreman

Qualification requirements

Industrial Instrumentation Trade Test.

Diploma in Electronics and Electrical Engineering.

Diploma in Instrumentation or Automation Industrial will be advantage.

Experience and competencies needed.

Minimum of 5years experience in Instrumentation/ Process Control.

Demonstrated competencies in the use of Citect SCADA

Demonstrated knowledge in the operation of underground Mining

Excellent Knowledge in industrial electrical wiring and drawing interpretation

Experience in the use and safe handling of radioactive nuclides

Able to read / Interpret instrumentation loop drawing & P & ID’s

A Valid Driver’s License

Excellent time management & organizational skills

High level of interpersonal skills

5: Integrated Tool Carrier Operator

Qualification requirements

Tertiary or ordinary secondary education.

Valid driver’s license (often Heavy Vehicle/HT license required for specific machines).

Diploma in Mining Engineering will be of added advantage.

Minimum of 3 – 5 years of practical experience in underground mining, with specific experience in heavy equipment operation.

Underground drilling knowledge and skills.

Sound knowledge and experience of underground mining practices and operations.

Knowledge of Safety, Health, and Environmental Legislation and standards applicable to underground mining

6: Instrumentation Technician

Qualification requirements

Degree/Diploma in Electronics and Electrical Engineering/Instrumentation or Industrial Automation. 

Instrumentation Trade Test Certificates.

Experience and Competencies needed.

2 Years – Post Trade Test Experience. 

Knowledge of diagnostics SCADA system. 

Basic of Allen Bradley PLC maintenance and Installation.

Basic of Siemens PLCs maintenance and Installation. 

Industrial Field Instrumentation Fault Finding. 

Ethernet Networks (wired and wireless). 

Process Control Systems. 

VSD and Soft Starters. 

Working knowledge of safety standards of equipment.

Previous maintenance experience in industrialized underground is beneficial.   

Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Hazard identification and Risk assessment. 

Understand technical drawings and manuals.

7: High Voltage Electrician

Qualification requirements

Minimum of a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or Trade certificate with equivalent appropriate experience

Extensive experience with:

HV/LV Electric Motors/Transformers/Statcoms

HV/LV switching and control systems

HV/LV cable jointing, terminations

Excellent knowledge of High/Low Voltage systems and Switchgear complete with protections.

Standby Generators/Power Systems

Reading Electrical drawings (Schematic and Single Line Diagrams)

Exceptional skills in field Electrical maintenance, fault-finding and troubleshooting.

Installations, calibrating and maintaining all instrumentation, HMI, PLC, SCADA on CAF plants, batch plants, Paste plant, power generation.

Minearc maintenance & inspections

High voltage switching certificate

Instrumentation qualification/experience

RCT teleremote qualification/experience

Minearc qualification/experience

Knowledge of Tanzanian electrical regulations and Australian Electrical Standards

Experience using Microsoft Office, Excel, Pronto/SAP Autosketch/Autocad

Experience and Competencies needed

Must have at least three years’ experience in a similar role (High Voltage Electrician).

Valid Tanzanian driving license

Mines Health & Safety Act Awareness

Underground /Surface Mining industry experience.

Qualification requirements

High School Diploma/Certificate/Degree in Electronic Tele Communication or a related field.

Specialized Certification in RF will be an added advantage.

Understand Digital and Analog Circuits.

Strong Problem Solving, attention to detail and Teamwork.

Must have worked on Sigma Equipment.

9: Winder Electrician

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

FTC certificate or Trade certificate in Electrical from a recognized training institution.

Must possess a valid Tanzania Driving License Class D & E or C

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

3 Years’ experience as a Winder Electrician in mining or related industry. Underground mining experience is added as an advantage

PLC Knowledge is an added advantage

Excellent Troubleshooting skills

Excellent Knowledge of Winder Drives, Safety Circuit system, and Troubleshooting.

Thorough knowledge of winder operation and reticulation drawings, shaft operation and reticulation drawings, rock breaker operation, and load out operation.

Computer literate in the Microsoft Package Applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio

Communication, Fluent in written and verbal English & Swahili

designed paste line and equipment plans, detailed engineered prints, and layouts
