1: MANAGER – RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT (R&D) & INNOVATION PROGRAMS

Job Purpose

To institutionalize CRDB’s innovation capability by establishing the frameworks, governance, partnerships, and adoption mechanisms that convert research and ideas into scalable, compliant, and value-creating outcomes across the Group. The role enables business units to innovate faster, safer, and with measurable impact on growth, efficiency, and superior customer experience.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Strategy, Finance, Business Innovation, or a related field.

6+ years’ experience in financial services with exposure to R&D, innovation strategy, or transformation programs.

Strong understanding of commercial models, operating frameworks, and strategic market shifts.

Proven record of driving cross‑functional initiatives from insight to implementation.

Demonstrated ability to build institutional capabilities and adoption systems.

Design and implement innovation operating models, applying design thinking and problem framing to guide R&D facilitation and experimentation.

Build and manage ecosystems through partnership co‑creation, ensuring effective collaboration, stakeholder alignment, and matrix leadership.

Translate data and insights into value while driving executive communication, influence, and institutional adoption of innovation practices.

2: IT SUPPORT OFFICER

Job Purpose

IT Support will be responsible for managing incidents and requests raised by users through ticketing tool, calls and emails as well as monitoring systems and infrastructure and follow up on any incident emerged from detected system abnormality.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or their equivalent from an accredited institution.

Flexibility to work in different shifts (including night shifts) 24X7.

Basic knowledge in Networking (OSI network layers, TCP/IP).

Basic Knowledge in database and programming.

Experience on system testing and monitoring.

Basic knowledge in ITIL.

3: SENIOR CBS PRODUCTS AND CHANGES SPECIALIST

Job Purpose

The Senior CBS Products and Changes Specialist is responsible for deployment, support, configuration and maintenance of Core Banking System, testing, implementation and maintenance of Core Banking products and changes and provide support on CBS Products to ensure systems availability in supporting banking operations.

Qualifications Required

Minimum of 3-year experience in Core banking system support, Projects, and User acceptance test.

Experience of working in a deadline-oriented incident management environment managing multiple issues simultaneously.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in dynamic, collaborative, and fast‑paced environments while ensuring robust backup, recovery, and business continuity processes.

Experienced in technical coordination and engagement with vendors, contractors, and key stakeholders to support seamless operational delivery.

Technical knowledge of Core Banking System, administration, systems backup, and support.

Train other IT staff and bank staff whenever required.

Strong knowledge of troubleshooting when necessary or required.

4: MARKETING OFFICER-EXPERIENTIAL EVENTS

Job Purpose

This role within Marketing will play a key role in supporting the Experiential Events & sponsorships unit to deliver various events – product launches, press events, key projects, workshops, and seminars (not limited) by creating experiences which can positively contribute to the primary goal of enhancing CRDB Bank’s brand health and ultimately contribute to the organisational objectives i.e., Financial, customer, processes, and culture.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance‑related fields, or Project Management from a recognized university.

Minimum of 4 years of professional experience, preferably within marketing, events management, or related fields.

Proven experience in developing proposals, creating Scopes of Work (SOWs), and supporting project execution.

Hands-on experience in planning, coordinating, and delivering experiential events, activations, and governmental/institutional events.

Protocal Management, Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.

Demonstrated creativity in developing concepts, campaigns, and event‑driven solutions.

Strong project and stakeholder management skills with proven experience in delivering experiential, executive, governmental, and institutional events.

Expertise in protocol management including order of precedence, executive seating, branding hierarchy, and formal program flow, with ability to coordinate public relations, media alignment, and reputation sensitivity.

Extensive experience engaging with government ministries, regulators, and institutional stakeholders, alongside strong vendor and production management capabilities.

5: RELATIONSHIP OFFICER- For Burundi citizens only

Job Purpose

To ensure that credit security files and credit related data in the system are accurate and are kept in a safe and secure manner. This role shall also ensure that the dual control of sensitive documents at branches, particularly credit security files is functioning at a standard of highest level.

Qualifications Required

A degree in Finance, Environment, Climate Change, Banking, Economics, Law, Accountancy, and or Business-related subjects from relevant recognized university/institution. Possession of the following qualifications will be an added advantage: CPA, ACCA, master’s degree/Postgraduate qualification in Environment, climate Change or Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Management certification etc.

Individual with practical experience in credit and lending operations.

For direct entry, a competent candidate with a similar qualification or is a senior officer from where he/she was working before joining the bank.

A relevant academic background in Commerce, Economics, Law, Accountancy, Agribusiness, Engineering, Land Management & Valuation, Property Finance, or any related qualification from a recognized institution.

Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze, interpret, and apply business insights effectively.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

6: SALES & SERVICE OFFICER – FOR BURUNDI CITIZENS ONLY

Job Purpose

The role is responsible for providing outstanding customer experience to CRDB customers and prospective customers. To ensure customer satisfaction is met at all times through giving professional advice on all of CRDB’s products and services, using quick service, smile and responding to customer inquiries in a way to maximize customer satisfaction.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or its equivalent.

Professional qualification(s) in banking (CPB) or accounting (CPA) will be an added advantage.

1 year of experience with a good background of handling and building customer relationships and general banking.

Good background of customer experience and support.

7: MANAGER: TALENT AND SUCCESSION PLANNING – FOR BURUNDI CITIZENS ONLY

Job Purpose

Responsible and accountable for strategic planning and management of the activities and projects that drive the organization culture toward achieving a high-performance orientation. Specifically, the manager will oversee the entire bank’s succession planning to drive succession planning to ensure that our people’s risks are mitigated.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; master’s degree preferred.

Professional certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or CIPD) is an advantage.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in talent management, succession planning, organizational development, or HR business partnering, preferably within the financial services sector.

Proven experience in designing and implementing talent and succession planning frameworks, including talent reviews and leadership development programs.

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret HR metrics, workforce analytics, and talent dashboards to support decision-making.

Developing new business opportunities by proactively selling, marketing and managing deposits and lending products from current & potential clients.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s Degree or Its Equivalent and at least a professional banking certificate

At least 2 years’ experience with a good background of customer relationship.

Strategic business awareness coupled with a clear understanding of the Bank’s products, handling, and building customer relations.

Also should be aware with Performance Management and Change management.

Self-empowerment to enable the development of open communication, teamwork, and trust that are needed to support performance and a customer service-oriented culture.

Job Purpose

Qualifications Required
