Teaching Vacancies at One World Secondary School March 2026, One World Secondary School Kilimanjaro is successful project of the German non-profit organization “Modellschulen fuer Africa” (Model schools for Africa) in Kisangara/Tanzania. The school was founded in 2012 and was developed by German and Tanzanian experts.

One World Secondary School Kilimanjaroschool is member of the PASCH (Partners for the Future) initiative, a network of more than 2,000 schools with particular ties to Germany and gets support from the GOETHE Institute

Intercultural learning will play an important role in the One World Secondary School Kilimanjaro. It helps to impart skills which in the era of globalization are essential and vital for young people from a developing country.

The students will experience an international education taking the own roots into consideration and respecting traditions and culturla variety.They meet European students in school and will have the opportunity to visit Germany for free in the framework of school partnerships with Gymnasium Lappersdorf , Oskar-von-Miller-Gymnasium in Munich and Gymnasium Neubiberg.

The school management is in German hands. The Director is Dr. Karl-Heinz Koehler and the Headmaster is Mr. Issack Msofe. Highly educated Tanzanian teachers teach in our school using the best educational traditions and achievements .

 

The one world secondary school is a German-Tanzanian school, a boarding co-education school, where we have only boarders.
We teach according to Tanzanian standards, but want to shape school through modern concepts: This includes non-violence, modern methods and progressive didactic teaching concepts.
One world secondary school, which is located in Kisangara, Mwanga, Kilimanjaro invites applications from suitably qualified teachers for immediate employment for the following vacancy post.

A. BUSINESS STUDY TEACHING POST (1)

Applicants’ qualifications needed

1. Bachelor degree of science with education majoring in Economics and Geography with a minimum GPA of 3.4 or higher

2. Good knowledge of Business studies and ability to communicate this in a way that students get enthusiastic for the subject

3. Knowledge of competency-based education and classroom management

4. At least two to three years of teaching experience

5. Demonstrated leadership experience, good interpersonal skills that are necessary for working effectively with students, non-teaching staff, teachers, administrators and the director

6. Flexibility to learn and adapt modern methods and techniques of teaching, including non-violence, modern teaching concepts

7. Willingness to fit in well with an international team and have an open-minded, enthusiastic and reliable personality which should be invested in the students

Responsibilities for the required post

1. Preparing and administering appropriate assessments and monitor the students’ progress

2. Flexibility in teaching hours

3. Leading student government committee

4. Preparing quarterly and end-of-term exams and reports, maintaining students’ records including work studies

5. Ensuring that all materials and equipment required for demonstration, lessons and practical work, which is planned are available and recorded

6. Using a variety of teaching methods to facilitate the professional and personal progress of all students 7. Administering and managing high school level classroom and other activities
