Job Vacancies at KNCU September 2026, The Kilimanjaro Native Cooperative Union (1984) Ltd is a farmer-owned cooperative union established in 1933 to promote the collective interests of smallholder coffee farmers in the Kilimanjaro Region.
It is legally registered under the Tanzania Cooperative Societies Act No. 6 of 2013, with registration number AFF-KJR-MSH-MC-2023-44. and operates across four districts including; Siha, Hai, Moshi Rural, and Rombo.
The KNCU (1984) LTD invites applications from suitable, qualified, dedicated self-motivated and skilled persons to fill the following vacancies:
1.0 GENERAL MANAGER (1 POST)
Position Summary: The General Manager is the Chief Executive Officer of the Union and shall be accountable to the Managing Board.
Location: Moshi, Kilimanjaro
Duties and Responsibilities:
General Manager will be responsible specifically for, but not limited to the following task:
To recruit, carrier development support and take disciplinary action against subordinate employees in consultation with the Board.
To coordinate the implementation of the Strategic Plan, Business Plan, action plans and targets of the organization.
To liaise with Coffee industry regulators, coffee research institutions, local authorities, agricultural input suppliers, NGOs, religious institutions and financial institutions and other relevant stakeholders to support the sustainability and profitability of the coffee value chain.
To ensure that effective performance management and reporting systems are in place and facilitate efficient communication.
To ensure that all income and expenditure statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports are prepared accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
To implement recommendations made by external auditors, the Board, and the Annual General Meeting, as well as findings and recommendations arising from investigative reports issued by the relevant authorities.
To ensure that the accounting books and records are properly maintained and made available to auditors in a timely manner.
To convene the General Meetings of the Union in consultation with the Chairperson;
To serve as the Secretary at all General Meetings of the Union and meetings of the Board.
To authorize and facilitate the payment of salaries, allowances, and other payments as approved by the Board.
To handle disciplinary matters concerning employees under his or her supervision in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and the Unions policies and procedures.

To maintain good relationship with KNCU (9184) members and establish mutually beneficial business partnerships/forge win-win business partnership.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience: Proven relevant work experience of at least 2 years in a managerial or related position.
Education: Master’s/Bachelor Degree in Management, Economics, Agriculture, Business Administration, or Cooperative Management from a recognized institution.
Languages: Strong communication in both Kiswahili and English, report writting, and data analysis skills, with proficiency in tools like MS Office, Gantt Charts and Kobo Toolbox.
Technical Skills: Data analysis skills with proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Gantt Charts and Kobo Toolbox.
Competencies: Strong organizational and time -management and the ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
Contract type: Permanent
Desired start date: October, 2026.
