Job Vacancies at Bukoba Regional Referral Hospital October 2026, The Medical Officer in Charge of the Bukoba Regional Referral Hospital invites qualified Tanzanians
to apply for the following youth volunteer positions:

1. ASSISTANT NURSING OFFICER/NURSE – 10 POSITIONS

Applicant qualifications:

· Must have Form IV or VI education and a Certificate/Diploma in Nursing from a government-recognized college.

· Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Tanzania.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(i) Provide nursing services

(ii) Collect vital health statistics

(iii) Supervise nurses working under them

(iv) Educate patients and the community about their health issues

(v) Provide preventive and reproductive health services

(vi) Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor related to their education, experience, and skills.

2. MEDICAL OFFICER II – 01 POSITION

Applicant Qualifications:

· Must possess a Form IV or Form VI education and a Medical Degree from a government-recognized institution.

· Must hold a license from, or be registered with, the Medical Council of Tanzania.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(i) To perform all medical duties at the hospital related to various conditions, including pediatric care, maternal health, and routine as well as emergency surgery.

(ii) Provide health education and improve the health of patients and their relatives.

(iii) Investigate, monitor, and prevent disease outbreaks.

(iv) Maintain statistics and utilize them in accordance with MTUHA guidelines.

(v) Plan and evaluate health services within their area of ​​work.

(vi) Design and conduct research and disseminate findings.

(vii) Participate in, review, and improve health services (medical audit and quality improvement).

(viii) Perform other duties assigned by their supervisor that are relevant to their education, experience, and skills.

3. CUSTOMER SERVICE – 03 POSITIONS

Applicant qualifications:

· Must possess a Form IV or Form VI education and have received training in Customer Service from a government-recognized institution.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(i) Must possess oral and written communication skills to explain solutions

(ii) transparency, using positive language, and aligning with the customer’s tone or emotions, while
avoiding complex language that could confuse the customer.

Possess time management and multitasking skills;

prioritize tasks to handle a high volume of inquiries and follow up on outstanding issues without compromising service quality.

(vii) Possess strong investigative skills to quickly identify problems and implement
innovative, effective solutions while adhering to institutional policies.

(viii) Be able to listen patiently to customer complaints without interrupting,
empathize with the customer to help them acknowledge their frustration, and
ensure the customer feels heard and valued.

Be reliable in fulfilling promises made to customers.

Possess the ability to learn quickly and adapt to the Institution’s internal policies in order to provide accurate information.

(xi) Possess computer skills to manage customer relations

xii) for customers who prefer to submit suggestions, feedback, or complaints via email.

(xiii) Follow up with the customer to gauge their satisfaction with the service provided and solicit feedback to encourage repeat business. (xiv) To perform other duties assigned by the supervisor that relate to their education, experience, and skills.

Requirements for applicants:

Must be the legitimate holder of professional certificates,

Must have two guarantors who are public servants,

Must be willing to volunteer in the relevant area,

Must not have been convicted by a court of law for criminal or disciplinary offenses,

Must possess good conduct and character acceptable to the community, and

Must not have been employed by any public institution since completing their studies.
