1 PRE-PRIMARY TEACHERS: Number of Positions: 3
Qualifications and Criteria:
• Must have a certificate/diploma in pre-primary education from a recognized institution
• Must have experience teaching pre-primary classes (at least 1 year or more)
• Must be a resident of Geita or willing to live in Geita
• Must have a sincere love for children, patience and good upbringing
• Must have an understanding of modern teaching methods for children (play-based & childcentered learning)
• Must be good communicators in English
• Must be clean, disciplined, honest and have good morals
• Must be creative, able to prepare teaching materials
2 SST (SOCIAL STUDIES) TEACHERS: Number of Positions: 3
Grades: Grades 3 to 7
Qualifications and Criteria:
• Must be and a teaching diploma or degree
• Have experience teaching SST
• Have the ability to teach Kiswahili effectively
• Have experience teaching grades 3–7
• Have good morals, discipline and high integrity
• Have the ability to manage the classroom and student behavior
• Have an understanding of the Tanzanian curriculum and the English Medium System
• Be a good role model for students
3 SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS TEACHERS: Number of Positions: 2
Subjects: Science & Mathematics (Primary Level)
Key Qualifications and Criteria:
• Have a teaching diploma/degree in Science or Mathematics
• Have experience teaching Science and/or Mathematics
• Have the ability to teach in a practical way (practical & activity-based learning)
• Have a good understanding of numbers, experiments, logic and participatory teaching
• Have the ability to prepare lessons, tests, assessments and student adjustments
• Have good communication skills in English
• Have discipline, integrity and hard work
