7 New Vacancies at Kilombero Sugar Company (KSCL) March 2026, KSCL is part of the Illovo Sugar Africa Group, Africa’s biggest sugar producer with extensive agricultural and manufacturing operations in six African countries; including South Africa, Malawi, Mozambique, Eswatini, Zambia and Tanzania. Illovo Sugar Africa is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Associated British Foods plc (ABF), listed on the London Stock Exchange. Located at Kidatu within Kilombero Valley, the Company operates two agricultural estates and sugar mills; Msolwa and Ruembe located in the Districts of Kilombero and Kilosa respectively and separated by the Great Ruaha River, within Morogoro Region.

KSCL has the largest crop estate in Tanzania covering 26,000 hectares; 10,000 ha belonging to KSCL and approximately 16,000 ha from the small holder farmers – Kilombero Growers. The company currently produces 126,000 tons of sugar per annum. The company’s supply chain includes approximately 8,000 grower farmers supplying about 600,000 tonnes of cane every year. 45% of the sugarcane crushed by KSCL is supplied by independent farmers; the remaining 55% comes from the company’s own land. Over 200 businesses have been registered in the Kilombero valley as a result of this supply chain.

1: Factory Optimisation Manager

Job Purpose

To drive embedding of the “Kilombero Way of Optimisation” by implementing world class practices to optimise production and maintenance, develop the relevant Optimisation strategy with a view towards long term growth, optimal efficiency and sustainability as well as to audit and analyse production systems & processes with the aim of uncovering inefficiencies.

Job Requirements.

• Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree.
• Business / Financial qualification would be an advantage.
• 8-10 years in Sugar Manufacturing (production and/or maintenance).
• Continuous improvement of knowledge and experience.
• Familiarity with Kilombero systems would be an advantage (SAP).
• Good business acumen and manufacturing expertise, with ability to anticipate, interpret and respond to changes impacting on functional area.
• Strong track record in management and leadership.
• Inquisitive mind.
• Strong data analysis skills.

2: Human Resources Administrator – 1 Position

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will support the delivery of an efficient and consistent HR administration service.

Job Qualification and Experience

• Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management or related field
• Minimum 1-2 years HR Administration experience.
• Payroll and HR benefits experience is an added advantage.

3: Control Room Operator – Boiler and Bagasse (1Position)

Job Purpose 

The successful candidate will be responsible for boiler Controls from DCS to ensure essential operational and safety Parameters are within range to assure adequate steam flow.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Diploma in engineering preferred mechanical and electrical engineering, Bachelor degree will be an added advantage.
• Experience on water tube boilers of at least 20bars operating pressure
• At least 3 years’ experience with exposure to production environment, Operational experience in a factory, preferably a sugar factory.

4: Credit Administrator – 2 Positions

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for the control of debtor’s accounts in assigned area, ensuring timely collection of payments through regular customer communication and handling customer queries and claims.

Job Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy/business administration/Equivalent
• Not less than 3 years working experience working in finance environment.
• Details process and analytical ability
• Strong verbal/ analytical reasoning ability
• CPA and SAP ERP will be added advantages

5: Sales Representative (Mtwara) – 1 Position

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving and growing sales volume and revenue targets in a specified territory.

Job Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years’ sales experience in a FMCG environment
• Valid Driving License

6: Issuing Clerk – 1 Position

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate issuance, documentation, and tracking of inventory items in accordance with company procedures. The role ensures proper stock control, timely issuance of materials, and accurate keeping supporting operational efficiency and inventory integrity.

Job Qualification and Experience

•  Minimum requirement Diploma in Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain Management or equivalent
• 1-2 years’ experience in general stores
• Strong communication skills with experience in engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
• Computer literate
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
