23 vacancies at Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC) July 2026, Zanzibar Insurance Corporation is a Government corporation established on June 20th, 1969 under The President’s Office of Finance and Planning. The main purpose of the establishment of this organization is to provide quality insurance services nationwide.
Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC) invites applications from suitably qualified, competent and experienced candidates to fill the following twenty-three (23) vacant positions:
1. UNDERWRITING MANAGER (1 POSITION) – HEAD OFFICE
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance and Risk Management, Business Administration and Finance.
Minimum of five (5) years experience in the Insurance industry, including at least three (3) years in a managerial underwriting role.
Strong leadership and staff management skills.
Proven track record in business growth and achievement of underwriting targets.
Excellent communication and relationship management skills with clients and corporate partners.
Sound knowledge of Insurance regulations and industry best practices.
2. BANCASSURANCE, SALES AND AGENCY MANAGER (1 POSITION) – HEAD OFFICE
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Insurance and Risk Management, Business Administration and Finance.
Minimum of five (5) years experience in the Insurance industry, including at least three (3) years in Bancassurance, Sales and Agency management.
Strong leadership and staff management skills.
Proven record of success in business development, sales growth, and agency management.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
Sound knowledge of Insurance regulations and industry best practices.
3. REINSURANCE MANAGER (1 POSITION) – HEAD OFFICE
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance and Risk Management, Business Administration and Finance.
Minimum of five (5) years experience in the Insurance industry, including at least three (3) years in reinsurance management.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Demonstrated success in reinsurance business development and target achievement.
Excellent communication and relationship management skills with reinsurers and business partners.
Sound knowledge of Insurance regulations and industry best practices.
4. ICT MANAGER (1 POSITION) – HEAD OFFICE
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information and Communication Technology
Minimum of five (5) years experience in the Insurance industry, including at least three (3) years in ICT management.
Strong leadership and staff management skills.
Proven record of leveraging technology to support business growth.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge of Insurance regulations and industry best practices.
5. INSURANCE OFFICER II (10 POSITIONS)
Locations:
• Unguja – 8 Positions
• Dar es Salaam – 1 Position
• Tanga – 1 Position
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Insurance and Risk Management and Actuarial Science
Computer literacy.
Good customer service and communication skills.
6. OPERATIONS OFFICER (9 POSITIONS) – UNGUJA
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Insurance and Risk Management, Economic of Development, Management of Social Development, International Relations, Public Administration, Foreign Languages, Tourism Management and Marketing, Business planning and Management and Commerce.
Computer literacy.
Good customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with diverse clients and visitors.
