New Vacancies at Kigoma District Council September 2026, The Executive Director of Kigoma District Council invites job applications from qualified and capable Tanzanians to fill 4 positions as outlined in this announcement;

1.0 DRIVER GRADE II (DRIVER II) – 1 Position

1.1 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

i. Inspecting the vehicle before and after trips to determine its safety status;

ii. Transporting staff to various locations for official duties;

iii. Performing minor vehicle maintenance;

iv. Recording and maintaining trip details in the vehicle logbook;

v. Collecting and distributing various documents; and

vi. Cleaning the vehicle;

1.2 APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must possess a Form IV certificate and a Class E or C driving license, with at least one (1) year of accident-free driving experience, along with training certificates qualifying them for the respective license classes.

They must have attended a Basic Driving Course provided by VETA or another government-recognized institution.

1.3 SALARY SCALE TGS B

2.0 RECORDS MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT II – 3 Positions

2.1 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

i. Registering incoming correspondence in the registry (incoming correspondence register)

ii. Registering outgoing correspondence (outgoing correspondence register)

iii. Distributing files to action officers

iv. Receiving files from action officers

v. Receiving files returned to the registry from action officers

vi. Returning files to racks/filing cabinets or other designated storage areas

vii. Monitoring file movement within the institution (file tracking)

2.2 APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS

Employment of a holder of a Form IV or Form VI certificate who has also obtained a Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Records Management from a government-recognized institution and possesses computer skills.

2.3 SALARY SCALE TGS C

GENERAL CONDITIONS

1. All applicants must be citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania and not exceed the age of 45. However, for positions within Military Institutions:

Applicants for non-degree positions must not exceed the age of 25.

Applicants for degree positions must not exceed the age of 30.

2. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and should specify their disability in the job application system for the information of the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat.

3. All applicants must attach a birth certificate certified by an Advocate/Lawyer.

4. Job applicants who are currently employed in the Public Service should NOT apply and are required to adhere to the instructions contained in circular CAC45/257/01/D/140 dated 30 November 2010.

5. All applications must be accompanied by professional certificates, transcripts, and copies of certificates

certified by an Advocate/Lawyer—specifically birth certificates and

certificates of completion for various training courses relevant to the specific job qualifications:

Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates.

Professional certificates (from respective boards).

6. Testimonials, provisional results, statements of results, and Form IV and Form VI result slips WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

7. Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure their certificates have been verified and approved by the relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, and NACTVET).

Applicants for cadres requiring a GPA who studied abroad must attach a GPA calculation certificate from the TCU.

8. Applicants who have retired from the Public Service are not permitted to apply unless they hold authorization from the Chief Secretary.

9. Legal action will be taken against individuals who submit forged information or credentials.

10. The deadline for submitting job applications is September 23, 2026.
