1: Sales Coordinator – Performance & Acquisition

Job Summary

To coordinate and drive the nationwide Agency Banking Lead Generation Programme by monitoring acquisition performance, coordinating commercial initiatives, supporting field execution, ensuring quality onboarding, facilitating performance management and enabling achievement of national Agent acquisition and customer growth targets.

Job Description​

Key Accountabilities:

National Lead Generation Programme Coordination (25%)

Responsible for coordinating the nationwide Lead Generation Programme to ensure consistent execution across all branches.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate implementation of the Lead Generation Programme across all branches.
  • Coordinate Agent acquisition campaigns.
  • Coordinate Account Opening campaigns.
  • Coordinate Insurance acquisition initiatives.

  • First hand in days coaching to new Lead Generators
  • Coordinate daily, weekly and monthly sales review meetings.
  • Develop and monitor formal coaching plans.
  • Identify training needs and recommend development interventions.
  • Coordinate recognition and motivation programs for Lead Generators.
  • Monitor achievement of acquisition KPIs.
  • Analyze productivity trends and recommend improvement actions.

Acquisition Performance & Commercial Campaign Coordination (20%)

Education and Experience Required:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Banking, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Commerce, Statistics, Information Systems or any other related business field from a recognized institution.
  • Professional certification in Sales, Project Management, Business Analysis or Customer Relationship Management will be an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Retail Banking, Agency Banking, Sales Management, Business Development, Relationship Management or Branch Banking.

2: Credit Analyst

Job Summary

The Credit Analyst is responsible for evaluating and analyzing credit applications from individual and business clients to assess creditworthiness and manage risk exposure. The role will be based upcountry, specifically in Dodoma or any other assigned region, and will provide dedicated credit support for Special Schemes, including TPDF and other assigned schemes.

The role will also continue to support HQ Credit business-as-usual activities, including application reviews, exception handling, portfolio follow-ups, stakeholder engagement, and operational support. This involves conducting comprehensive financial assessments, reviewing documentation, coordinating with regional and HQ stakeholders, and ensuring all activities are performed within the bank’s policies, regulatory guidelines, and agreed service standards.

Job Description​

Key Responsibilities

1. Evaluation and Analysis of Credit Applications (60%)

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of credit applications from individual and business clients.
  • Analyze financial statements, credit histories, and relevant documentation to determine creditworthiness and identify potential risks.
  • Ensure that all loan applications are thoroughly reviewed for any signs of fraud, including verifying client identification, signatures, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure timely assessments of credit applications within the agreed SLA time, maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Align all assessments and recommendations with the approved Retail Credit Policy and established product processes.
  • Make informed credit decisions (sanctioning) on loan applications from special schemes and other assignments from the Head of Retail Credit, subject to the delegated approval mandate assigned by the Head of Retail Credit.
  • Perform thorough credit reference checks and due diligence before processing applications to mitigate risk exposure.
  • Ensure employer confirmation is conducted on all applications prior to recommendations to validate applicant information.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze emerging credit trends to refine assessment methodologies and enhance risk evaluation.
  • Verify that no loan applications are processed for any branch or customer that has been suspended from lending due to breaches of any established triggers. This verification must be conducted prior to any loan processing.
  • Ensure timely engagement with all relevant stakeholders—Legal Team, Treasury Team, Security Management Unit (SMU), branch network, etc.—to align secured loan applications with agreed SLAs for credit processes.

2.       Preparation of Offer Letters and Client Communication (15%)

  • Draft and issue offer letters and provide timely feedback regarding approved facilities to clients through branch networks.
  • Ensure all secured loans complete their collateralization procedures before making recommendations for the Manager’s approval.
  • Facilitate effective communication post-approval to ensure a smooth onboarding process for clients.
  • Review and verify all required loan documentation, including land rent, valuation, insurance, title deeds, and mortgages, to ensure that all securities for loans are in order and up to date.

3.       Analysis of Customer Requests (5%)

  • Review and analyze requests for loan restructuring and other financial products, ensuring alignment with the bank’s risk appetite.
  • Conduct risk assessments on restructured loans to evaluate the impact on portfolio performance.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies for all client requests to uphold risk management standards.

4.       People Management (5%)

  • Collaborate with team members and branch staff to foster a positive and productive working environment.
  • Ensure a succession plan is in place for team members, promoting professional development.
  • Be prepared for job rotations and support other units within the Retail Credit team as needed.
  • Conduct training sessions and facilitate knowledge sharing among colleagues to enhance team capabilities.

5.       Compliance with Internal Policies and Regulatory Requirements (10%)

  • Ensure all credit evaluations and approvals strictly adhere to NBC Bank’s internal policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Stay informed about regulatory changes and proactively implement necessary adjustments to processes to maintain compliance and minimize audit findings.
  • Participate in internal audits and contribute to the development of action plans to address any identified compliance gaps.

6. Additional Responsibilities (5%)

3: Business Development Officer

Recruitment and Management of borrowing customers under Micro-SME segment (Kua Nasi, Agriculture & LaRiba) and ensure growth of quality loan portfolio as per Bank’s Credit policy and Product Procedure Manuals.

Job Description​

Key Accountabilities

 Growth of quality loan portfolio (Branch targets)

  • Onboarding of eligible borrowing customers as per Product Procedure Manuals
  • Follow up on pipelines/sale leads to ensure maturity within agreed TAT.
  • Identify, explore, and negotiate business (lending) opportunities with existing and new and customers.
  • Engaging with external and internal business stakeholders to ensure that the Bank’s interests are properly presented and safeguarded.

Credit underwriting functions

  • Receive and review Credit applications and ensure compliance to approved checklist of required documents.
  • Liaise with CRC members to ensure eligible customers are visited to validate the information submitted, business and collaterals provided.
  • Assessment (credit appraisal) of Micro-SME credit applications to determine creditworthiness for Bank’s financing in-line with Product Procedure Manuals.
  • Ensure all credit applications forwarded to HQ for approval were reviewed, discussed, and deliberated by CRC (as per Product Procedure)
  • Attend/address all issues or queries raised by HQ (Retail credit/Business) in collaboration with CRC without compromising procedure.

Loan Portfolio Management

  • Ensure approved loans adhere to approved terms and conditions.
  • Ensure post disbursement business visits are made to confirm fund utilization and report/take necessary action where deviation occurs.
  • Ensure customers’ visits are made and reports are prepared as per the Bank’s guidelines.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record keeping of all approved credit application documents at branch.
  • Facilitate timely renewal/refinancing of eligible existing facilities.
  • Review loan portfolio and recommend appropriate interventions to ensure it performs in line with approved performance indicators and targets.
  • Help branch to devise and execute turnaround or recovery measures geared to improve quality of loan portfolio.

Deposit mobilization & Cross selling

  • Mobilize deposits from new and existing Micro-SME customers under KUA NASI, NBC Shambani and La Riba segments.
  • Cross selling of Bank’s existing and new products & services Support Liaison role between internal and external stakeholders

Capacity building

  • Conduct mass marketing/training with customers (potential & existing)
  • Conduct products awareness sessions with branches or external customers

Relationship management & Advisory function

  • Develop and maintain business relationships with customers on the Bank’s behalf.
  • Customer advisor on various business or lending requirements and devise proper credit structuring.

Reporting & Meeting attendance 

  • Compulsory attendance at CRC, Loan delinquency and collections meetings etc as directed by authority.
  • Preparation and submitting of standard periodic reports or any report as required by management.
