Kiswahili is one of the compulsory subjects at the Secondary Education level, Form I–IV for students in the General and Practical Education Stream. This subject aims to continue to develop the student’s ability to communicate fluently using the Kiswahili language, which is one of the main objectives of education in Tanzania and is one of the 21st Century skills.
In addition, this subject aims to enable the student to master, use and appreciate Kiswahili. In this subject, the student will learn various skills including editing, interpreting and translating and thus be able to use these skills to manage his daily life.
