The Diploma in Nursing is a three-year diploma-level program. It is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge required for a career in nursing. This course focuses on general health care, nursing, and midwifery, preparing students to work in various healthcare settings. This course is suitable for those who aspire to pursue a career in clinical nursing.
There are three main types of nurses in Tanzania:

Registered Nurses or Nursing Sisters
They are responsible for the supervision of enrolled and enrolled auxiliary nurses as well as typical nursing responsibilities.

Enrolled Nurses
They perform limited nursing care.

Enrolled Nursing Auxiliaries
They perform basic procedures and care for patients on a general level.
Entry Requirements
(i) Candidates must have completed O-level education with a credit in Biology and two passes in Chemistry and Mathematics or Physics.
(ii) Candidates must have completed secondary school education within three years from the year of application.
