31 Vacancies at Liwale District Council March 2026, The Executive Director of Liwale District Council invites qualified Tanzanians to apply for thirty-one (31) job positions in this Council after obtaining approval from the Office of the President, Public Service Management and Good Governance with the following breakdown:-

1.0 OFFICE EXECUTIVE SECRETARY GRADE II – POSITION 11.

1.1. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF OFFICE EXECUTIVE SECRETARY GRADE II

i) Typing letters, reports and regular and confidential documents;

ii) Receiving visitors and listening to their problems, and directing them to places where they can be helped;

iii) Maintaining information and records of events, appointments, visitors, dates of meetings, the Head’s travels and other work schedules;

iv) Searching for files and documents required in the implementation of the duties of the job;

v) Receiving files and distributing them to officers in the relevant Department/Unit/ Section;

vi) Collecting, maintaining and returning files and documents to the relevant departments;

vii) Organizing abstracts and making preparations for various meetings;

viii) Preparing a list of office equipment requirements and

ix) Other tasks assigned by the employer.

1.1.1. QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

Must be a Form IV graduate and possess a Diploma in Accounting or an NTA Level 6 Certificate in Accounting. In addition, he/she must have passed the Kiswahili and English 80 words per minute (80 w.p.m) test and have acquired office computer programs such as: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Email and Publisher from any institution or college recognized by the government.

1.1.2. SALARY LEVEL.

1.2. DRIVER CLASS II – POSITION 13

1.2.1. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF DRIVER CLASS II

i. Inspecting the vehicle before and after the trip to determine the safety condition of the vehicle.

ii. Taking employees to various locations on business trips.

iii. Making and distributing various documents.

iv. Filling and maintaining information on all trips in the trip log.

v. Cleaning the vehicle

vi. Carrying out minor repairs to the vehicle and

vii. Other tasks assigned by the employer.

1.2.2. QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

i. Must be a graduate with a Form IV certificate.

ii. Must have a Class E or C driving license that he/she has worked on for not less than a year without causing an accident.

iii. Must have attended a Basic Driving Course provided by a Vocational Training Institute (VETA) or another institute recognized by the government.

iv. Must have certificates that qualify him/her to obtain the relevant grades.

1.2.3. SALARY LEVEL

With reference to the Government Salary Level TGS B

1.3. RECORD ASSISTANT GRADE II – POSITION 7

1.3.1. JOB DUTIES

i. List incoming correspondence register;

ii. List outgoing correspondence register;

iii. Distribute files to Action Officers;

iv. Receiving files returned to the registry from the officers (Action Officers);

v. Searching for records/documents/files required by the officers (Action Officers);

vi. Returning files to the ranks/filling cabinets or other places where they are stored;

vii. Monitoring the circulation of files within the institution (File tracking);

viii. Other duties assigned by the employer.

1.3.2. QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

Must have completed Form Four (IV) or Form Six (IV) and obtained a Form Four (IV) or Form Six (VI) examination certificate. Must have completed a Diploma (NTA level 6) in the field of Registry from a recognized university, and be computer literate.

1.3.3. SALARY LEVEL.

With reference to the Government Salary Level TGS C

GENERAL CONDITIONS.

i. All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens and between 18 and 45 years of age except for those currently employed in the Government;

ii. All applicants must attach a birth certificate certified by a Lawyer/Attorney.

ii. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and should indicate on the Application Form the type of disability they have for the Public Service Employment Secretariat;

iv. Applicants who are already Public Servants and have acquired qualifications to enter a different cadre than their current one, should forward their application letters to their employers and their employers should be satisfied accordingly;

v. All applicants should attach a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) with a valid address, available telephone numbers and an E-mail address along with the names of three reliable referees;

vi. All applications should be accompanied by educational and professional certificates, transcripts, copies of certificates certified by a Lawyer/Attorney which are birth certificates, Form Four or Six for those who have reached that level and various training certificates based on the qualifications of the relevant job.

vii. “Testimonials”, “Provisional Result”, “Statement of result”, Form IV and Form VI RESULTS SLIPS (FORM IV AND FORM VI RESULTS SLIPS)
WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

viii. Applicants who studied outside Tanzania should ensure that their certificates are verified and approved by the relevant Authorities (TCU, NECTA AND NACTE).

ix. Applicants who have retired from the Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Principal Secretary.

x. Applicants who are already employed in entry-level positions in the Public Service should not apply and are required to adhere to the instructions contained in Document No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30th November, 2010.

xi. Applicants who submit false information and qualifications will be subject to legal action.

xii. The deadline for submitting applications is March 30, 2026.
