500 New Vacancies at PCCB April 2026, The Prevention and Combating of Corruption Bureau (PCCB) is a Public Institution established under the Prevention and Combating of Corruption Act No. 11 of 2007.
This Act was enacted after the repeal of the Prevention of Corruption Act (PCCB) Cap. 329 which was amended in 2002. The establishment of this body came after the Parliament of the United Republic of Tanzania passed the Prevention and Combating of Corruption Bill of 2007 on 16 April, 2007.
This Bill was signed into law by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, His Excellency Jakaya Kikwete, as the Prevention and Combating of Corruption Act on 11 June, 2007 and came into operation on 1 July, 2007.
The Director General of the Prevention and Combating of Corruption Bureau (PCCB) invites qualified Tanzanians to apply for the following positions in the PCCB District Offices:
1.0 INVESTIGATION OFFICER (250 POSITIONS)
1.1 Applicant Qualifications:
1.2 Academic Qualifications:
▪ The applicant must possess at least a first degree from a recognized institution of higher learning in one of the following fields: Accounting, Business Administration, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Chemical Process Engineering, Community Development, Computer Science/IT, Civil Engineering, Economics and Planning, Electrical Engineering, Nutrition and Food Science, Human Resource Management, Land Management and Assessment, Law, Mechanical Engineering, Oil and Gas Engineering, Procurement and Supply Chain, Project Management, Consulting, Public Administration, Public Relations/Communications, Records Management, Sports Science/Physical Education, Statistics, and Water Engineering.
▪ Applicant must have a minimum of a lower second class.
▪ Applicants registered with Academic Boards will be given higher priority.
1.3 Other Qualifications:
▪ Applicants must not be 29 years of age by May, 2026.
2.0ASSISTANT INVESTIGATOR (250 POSITIONS)
2.1 Applicant Qualifications:
2.2 Academic Qualifications:
Must have at least a certificate or diploma from a government recognized school, college in one of the following fields
a) Security Skills:
Must have a “Basic Technical Certificate/Technical Certificate/Diploma in Wildlife Management and Law Enforcement, or Basic Peoples Militia Training” from a recognized institution in Tanzania, along with experience in security.
b) Automotive / Panel Beating / Painting (NVA/NTA Level 3–
Must have an NVA/NTA Level 3– certificate in automotive engineering, along with experience and practical skills in maintenance.
c) Driving Skills (Class “C” Drivers):
Must have a valid Class C driver’s license, a clean driving record, and proven experience in the safe operation of motor vehicles.
d) Customer Service / Office Attendant:
Must have a Certificate in any field, with experience in serving customers and the ability to support office operations.
e) Assistant Accountant:
Must have a recognized diploma in accounting with understanding of public finance procedures and systems.
f) Secretarial Studies (Specialist Secretary):
Must have a Diploma in Specialist Secretarial Studies, with proficiency in office management, communication, and the use of IT equipment.
g) Computer Technician (Computer Repair):
Must have a certificate or diploma in computer maintenance, with proven experience in diagnosing and repairing hardware, networks, and basic software problems.
h) Office Machine Technician (Office Equipment Repair):
Must have technical training with the ability to install, maintain, and repair office machines (E.G. printer, Photocopier and Scanner).
2.3 Other Qualifications:
▪ The applicant must be a Tanzanian citizen and not less than 18 years of age and not more than 25 years of age.
3.0 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL APPLICANTS
1. The applicant must be a person of high integrity.
2. The applicant must not have any criminal record.
3. Be willing to work in any district of Tanzania Mainland
4. The applicant must submit certified copies of original certificates. Applicants who submit forged certificates or provide false information will be subject to legal action.
5. Any person who has been dismissed or dismissed from the Public Service for any reason is ineligible to apply.
6. A Public Servant applying for this position must forward his/her application to his/her employer.
7. Applicants must attach certified copies of the following documents:
a. Degree/Higher Diploma Certificates and Transcripts of Records
b. Form IV and Form VI Certificates
c. Grade Seven Certificate
d. Professional Certificates (where applicable)
e. Birth Certificate
f. One recent passport-sized photograph.
8. Professional certificates issued by educational institutions outside Tanzania must be attested by the relevant regulatory authorities in the country (TCU, NACTVET, NECTA).
9. The applicant must attach a Curriculum Vitae (CV), including details of work experience, residential address, postal address, email, and telephone number.
10. The applicant must submit the names and contact details of three reliable referees.
11. National Identity Card (NIDA) or NIDA identification number is mandatory.
12. Letters of confirmation, partial copies of academic results, and examination result slips will not be accepted.
13. The application letter must be handwritten in Kiswahili or English.
14. Applications that do not include all the required documents will not be considered.
15. Applicants who pass the pre-selection will beu will be notified.
