7 New Vacancies at Bunda Town Council May 2026, The City Manager of Bunda City Council invites applications from qualified Tanzanians to fill the 7 positions as outlined in this advertisement;

1.0 DRIVER II – Position 3.

1.1 JOB DUTIES:

i. Inspecting the vehicle before and after the trip to determine the safety of the vehicle;

ii. Taking employees to various locations on business trips;

iii. Carrying out minor vehicle repairs;

iv. Filling and maintaining all trip information in the trip log;

v. Collecting and distributing various documents; and

vi. Cleaning the vehicle;

1.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANT

Employees must have a Form IV certificate and a Class E or C driving license that they have worked on for not less than one (1) year without causing an accident, along with training certificates that qualified them to obtain the relevant grades.

Must have attended a Basic Driving Course provided by VETA College or another College recognized by the Government.

1.3 SALARY LEVEL TGS B

2.0 OFFICE MANAGEMENT SECRETARY GRADE II – Position 2

2.1 JOB DUTIES

i. Typing letters, reports and regular and confidential documents;

ii. Receiving visitors and listening to their problems and directing them where they can be helped;

iii. Maintaining records of events, appointments, meeting dates, trips of the Head and other work schedules;

iv. Searching for files and documents required in the implementation of job duties;

v. Receiving files and distributing them to Officers in the relevant Department/Unit/Section;

vi. Collecting, maintaining and returning files and documents to the relevant departments;

vii. Organizing notes and making preparations for various meetings;

viii. Preparing a list of office equipment requirements; and

ix. Performing other tasks assigned by his/her supervisor.

2.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

Form Four or Form Six graduates with a Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Secretarial Studies will be employed.

In addition, they should have passed the subject of Swahili and English 80 words per minute (80.wp.m) and have received training in office computer programs such as: Word, Excel, Powepoint, Internet, E-mail and Publisher from any college recognized by the Government.

2.3 SALARY LEVEL TGS C

3.0 RECORDS MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT II – Position 2

3.1 JOB DUTIES

i. Listing incoming correspondence register

ii. Register List outgoing correspondence register

iii. Distribute files to action officers

iv. Receive files to action officers

v. Receive files returned to the registry from action officers

vi. Return files to racks/filling cabinets or other storage locations.

vii. Monitor file circulation within the institution (file tracking)

3.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

Employment will be for those who have completed Form IV or VI Education who have completed Diploma (NTA level 6) in the field of Record Keeping from Government-recognized Institutions, and are computer literate.

3.3 SALARY LEVEL TGS C

GENERAL CONDITIONS

1. All applicants must be citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania and not exceed 45 years of age. However, for positions within the Military Institutions:

Applicants for non-degree positions must not exceed 25 years of age.

Applicants for degree positions must not exceed 30 years of age.

2. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and should describe their disability in the application form for the information of the Public Service Employment Secretariat.

3. All applicants should attach a birth certificate certified by a Lawyer/Attorney.

4. Applicants who are employed in the Public Service, are NOT required to apply and are required to comply with the instructions contained in document number CAC45/257/01/D/140 dated 30 November 2010.

5. All applications should be accompanied by professional certificates, descriptions, copies of certificates certified by a Lawyer/Attorney which are birth certificates, certificates of completion of various courses based on the qualifications of the relevant job: Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates. Professional certificates from respective boards.

6. “Testmonials”, “Provisional Results”, “Statement of results”, Form IV and Form VI Results Slips will NOT be accepted.

7. Applicants who studied outside Tanzania should ensure that their certificates have been verified and approved by the relevant Authorities (TCU, NECTA and NACTVET). For applicants for cadres requiring ‘GPA’ who studied outside Tanzania, they should attach a ‘GPA’ calculation certificate from TCU.

8. Applicants who have retired from the Public Service are not allowed to apply
unless they have the approval of the Principal Secretary.

9. Submission of false information and qualifications will be subject to legal action.

10. The end of The deadline for submitting applications is May 12, 2026.
