New 10 Vacancies at Mbozi District Council September 2026, The Executive Director of Mbozi District Council announces and invites qualified Tanzanians to fill 10 approved job vacancies, following authorization from the Permanent Secretary, President’s Office – Public Service Management and Good Governance, as detailed below:

1.0 OFFICE MANAGEMENT SECRETARY GRADE II – 05 POSITIONS

1.1. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

i. Typing letters, reports, and documents (both routine and confidential);

ii. Receiving visitors, inquiring about the nature of their business, and directing them to the appropriate offices for assistance;

iii. Maintaining records and logs of events, appointments, visitors, meeting dates, the supervisor’s travel, and other work schedules;

iv. Retrieving files and documents required for the execution of work duties;

v. Receiving files and distributing them to officers in the relevant Division/Unit/Section;

vi. Collecting, maintaining, and returning files and documents to their respective locations;

vii. Preparing agendas and making arrangements for various meetings; and

viii. Preparing lists of office supply requirements.

1.1.2 APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must possess a Form Four or Form Six education certificate and a Diploma in Secretarial Studies or an NTA Level 6 Certificate in Secretarial Studies.

Additionally, the candidate must have passed Swahili and English shorthand at a speed of 100 words per minute and possess skills in office computer applications—such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, E-mail, and Publisher—from any government-recognized institution.

1.1.3 SALARY SCALE: TGS C

2.0 DRIVER GRADE II – 05 POSITIONS

2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

i. Inspecting the vehicle before and after trips to ensure its roadworthiness and safety;

ii. Transporting staff to various locations for official duties;

iii. Performing minor vehicle maintenance;

iv. Collecting and distributing various documents;

v. Recording and maintaining details of all trips in the vehicle logbook;

vi. Cleaning the vehicle; and

vii. Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

2.2.1 APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS.

Must possess a Form IV certificate and a Class E or C driving license, with at least one (1) year of accident-free driving experience, along with the training certificates qualifying them for the respective license classes.

Additionally, the candidate must have attended a Basic Driving Course provided by VETA or another government-recognized institution.

2.2.2 SALARY SCALE: TGS B1

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICANTS

i. All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45.

ii. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and must specify the nature of their disability in the recruitment system to inform the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat.

iii. Applicants must attach a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV) containing a current postal address, reachable telephone numbers, an email address, and the names of three reliable referees.

iv. All applications must be accompanied by academic and professional certificates certified by a lawyer/advocate.

These include Form Four or Form Six certificates (for those who attained that level) and certificates of completion for various training courses relevant to the specific job qualifications (e.g., Postgraduate, Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma, Certificate, Computer Certificate, and Professional Certificates from respective boards).

v. Testimonials, provisional results, statements of results, and Form IV and Form VI result slips will NOT be accepted.

vi. Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure their certificates have been verified and validated by the relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, and NACTVET).

vii. Applicants for the Driver II cadre holding Class E or C licenses must ATTACH the driving training certificates that qualified them for the respective license classes.

viii. Applicants who have retired from the Public Service are not permitted to apply unless they hold authorization from the Chief Secretary.

ix. Applicants who are already employed in entry-level positions within the Public Service should not apply; they must adhere to the directives contained in Circular No. CAC. 45/257/01/D/140 dated 30 November 2010.

x. Legal action will be taken against individuals who submit forged information and qualifications.

xii. Candidates whose names differ across their documents must submit a Deed Poll (Affidavit of Name Change) registered with the Ministry of Lands.
