The Higher Education Students Loans Board (HESLB) today, Friday, October 24, 2025, has released the first phase of loan and scholarship allocations for a total of 135,240 students. This number includes the following students:
i. 40,952 undergraduate students and 5,342 diploma students who were allocated loans amounting to TZS. 152 billion.
ii. 615 Samia Scholarship students who were allocated grants amounting to TZS. 3.3 billion.
iii. 88,331 students who are continuing their studies have been allocated loans amounting to TZS. 271.2 billion after passing their previous year’s examinations.
The Loans Board will continue to provide other phases of loans and scholarships as it receives confirmation of admission for first-year students and results for students who are continuing their studies.
In addition, the Credit Board reminds applicants for loans and grants to continue monitoring their application information through ‘SIPA’ while the loan and grant analysis and planning processes are ongoing.
