1: PHOTOJOURNALIST GRADE II (5 Positions)
Duties and Responsibilities
To photograph newsworthy events, locations, people, or any other illustrative material;
To explore relevant photographic and video story concepts alongside writers, reporters, and editors;
To capture photographs, audio and videos which will produce news or story;
To write narration to accompany images;
To create meaningful news from photographs;
To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities
To assist in undertaking production of television programmes;
To assist in production of radio programmes, drama, light entertainment;
To selection and production of music programmes;
To assist in production of education development programmes;
To participate in talk shows/documentaries/magazine, religious programmes, sports etc;
To assists in scheduling routine programmes;
To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Holder of Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in one of the following fields: Theatre Arts, Journalism, Fine arts, Mass communication, TV/Radio Film Production, Public Relations, Public Relations and Advertisement or its equivalent from a recognised Institution.
3: ASSISTANT PHOTOJOURNALIST II (5 POSITIONS)
Duties and Responsibilities
To undertake filming/recording of television programmes such as talk shows, education, documentaries, religion etc. in good quality standard and consonant with the requirement of the producer;
To load and unloads camera, cleans and place lenses, filters, extension tubes and makes;
To participate in shooting various events;
To participate in developing a shooting programme;
To determine camera, video tape and lighting equipment to be utilized;
To direct technical personnel to achieve photographic effects; and
To performs other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Holder of Diploma in Cinematography, Video shooting, Video production, Journalism, Photography, Multimedia or its equivalent from a recognized Institution. Computer skills are essential.
4: ASSISTANT PRODUCER II (1 Position)
Duties and Responsibilities
To assist in undertaking production of television programmes;
To assist in production of radio programmes, drama, light entertainment;
To selection and production of music programmes;
To assist in production of education development programmes;
To assist in talk shows/documentaries/magazine, religious programmes, sports etc;
To undertake logging of pictures, rough cutting according to script and sound editing then produce the final release print;
To assemble video tapes;
To select sound to enhance video programme and synchronise with the pictures; and
To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Holder of Diploma in Theatre Arts, Journalism, Fine arts, Mass communication, TV/Radio Film Production, Public Relations or its equivalent from a recognised Institution recognised Institution.
5: TECHNICIAN II (TELECOMMUNICATION) (7 Positions)
Duties and Responsibilities
To carry out technical operation;
To carry out cleanliness of workshop tools/equipment and workshop environments;
Carry out servicing and maintenance work of technical equipment under supervision of experienced technician;
To prepare sketch drawing and take site measurements;
To plan, repair, maintenance and supervise telecommunication Equipment’s;
To supervise on inspection of telecommunication workshop tools,equipemets and plants;
To conduct research and prepare the budget on maintenance works for telecommunication equipment’s;
To prepare reports based on Telecommunication preventive maintenance of workshop tools, equipment’s and plants.
Qualifications
Holder of Diploma or FTC in one of the following field: Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or its equivalent from a recognised Institution
6:JOURNALIST GRADE II (26 Positions)
Duties and Responsibilities
To gather and writes news and stories;
To write scripts and continuities and prepares programmes for radio and television products;
To collects, reports and comments on news and current affairs for broadcasting by radio or television;
To interview politicians and other public figures at press conferences and on occasions, including individual interviews recorded for radio or television;
To write editorials and selects, revises, arranges and edits submitted articles and other materials for broadcasting on radio or television;
To write advertising copy promoting particular products or services;
To select, assemble and prepare publicity materials about business or other organizations for being broadcast through radio, television or other media;
To provide professional and technical support to other junior reporters/journalists; and
To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications
Holder of Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in one of the following fields: – Journalism, Mass Communication or TV/Film Production from a recognized Institution. Knowledge in word processing, graphics, photographing, photo-editing and video shooting is an added advantage. Computer skills are essential.
7: EDITOR GRADE II (4 Positions)
Duties and Responsibilities
To assist in technical duties related to editing of motion pictures;
To keep standard of good work in video/film editing;
To edit TV productions to achieve the desired optimum effect consonant with producers goals;
To undertake logging of pictures, rough cutting according to script and sound editing then produce the final release print;
To assemble video tapes;
To select sound to enhance video programme and synchronise with the pictures;
To operate linear and non-linear editing equipment in the formation of composite programme material from separate recordings; and
To perform any other duties as may be assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications
Holder of Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in one of the following fields: Theatre Arts, Journalism, Fine arts, Mass communication or its equivalent from a recognized Institution.
