Meru Agro-Tours & Consultants Co. Ltd is a registered local private company that was founded in July 2005 and commenced business in October 2006. As the name implies, Meru agro-Tours & Consultants Co. Ltd intends conduct business in three areas namely, agricultural input and produce, Tourism and Consultation Services.

Currently Meru Agro-Tours & Consultants Co. Ltd is conducting agro input business in Northern Tanzania and through its network of agents/stockiest for the rest of the country. The current main business activities & services are:-

Production and distribution of agro seeds.
Importation and distribution of agro-chemicals.
Distribution of fertilizers and light agricultural equipments such as sprayers
Outreach services on key technology on farm input use and management

1. Internal Audit Officer (1 Post)

Location: Arusha HQ

Reporting to: Internal Auditor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit Cycle: Manage the full audit cycle including financial reliability, regulatory compliance, and  risk management.

  • Verification: Reconcile documentation (statements, inventory, assets) against actual reports to ensure accuracy.

  • Reporting: Prepare findings with actionable recommendations for cost-saving and profit-increasing methods.

  • Advisory: Provide ongoing education to business units regarding compliance and risk assessment.

  • Follow-up: Conduct subsequent audits to ensure previous recommendations were implemented.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (Required).

  • Certification: CIA, CPA, ACCA, or CISA (Recognized by NBAA) is an added advantage.

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in a related field.

  • Software: Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office.

  • Skills: Strong analysis, report writing, and willingness to travel within Tanzania.

2. Sales Officers (3 Posts)

Locations: Bariadi, Songea, and Mbeya

Reporting to: Zonal Managers

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Targets: Conduct sales trips and meet targets as per company plans.

  • Relationship Management: Secure deals and maintain positive customer relationships.

  • Progress Tracking: Submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales progress reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 2 years as a salesperson cum driver in a reputable company.

  • Licensing: Must possess a Class “E” Driving License and experience driving light trucks.

  • Education: Certificate/Diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or Agri-business (Added advantage).
