12 New Vacancies at Tarime District Council April 2026, The Executive Director of Tarime District Council invites applications from qualified Tanzanians to fill the 12 positions as specified in this advertisement;
1.0 OFFICE MANAGEMENT SECRETARY GRADE II – 5 Positions
1.1 JOB DUTIES
i. Typing letters, reports and documents, both regular and confidential;
ii. Receiving visitors and listening to their problems and directing them where they can be helped;
iii. Maintaining records of events, appointments, dates of meetings, trips of the Head and other work schedules;
iv. Searching for files and documents required in the implementation of work duties;
v. Receiving files and distributing them to Officers in the relevant Department/Unit/Section;
vi. .Collecting, maintaining and returning files and documents to the relevant departments;
vii. Organizing notes and making preparations for various meetings;
viii. Preparing a list of office equipment requirements; andix. Performing other tasks as assigned by his/her supervisor.
1.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANT
Form Four or Form Six graduates with a Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Secretarial Studies will be employed.
In addition, they should have passed the Kiswahili and English Typing test at 80 words per minute (80.wp.m) and received training in office computer programs such as: Word, Excel, Powepoint, Internet, E-mail and Publisher from any institution recognized by the Government.

2.0 RECORDS MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT II – Position 2
2.1 JOB DUTIES
i. Register incoming correspondence in the Registry (incoming correspondence register)
ii. Register outgoing correspondence in the Institution (outgoing correspondence register)
iii. Distribute files to Action Officers
iv. Receive files from Action Officers
v. Receive files returned to the Registry from Action Officers
vi. Return files to racks/filling cabinets or other storage locations
vii. Track file circulation within the Institution (file tracking)
2.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
Employment will be for those who have completed Form IV or VI Education who have completed Diploma (NTA level 6) in the field of Record Keeping from Government-recognized Institutions, and are computer literate.

3.0 DRIVER II – Position 5
3.1 JOB DUTIES
i. Inspecting the vehicle before and after the trip to determine the safety status of the vehicle;
ii. Taking employees to various locations on business trips;
iii. Carrying out minor vehicle repairs;
iv. Filling and maintaining information on all trips in the trip log;
v. Collecting and distributing various documents; and
vi. Cleaning the vehicle;
3.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
To be employed with a Form IV certificate and a Class E or C driving license that they have worked for a period of not less than one (1) year without causing an accident along with training certificates that qualified them to obtain the relevant grades.
Must have attended a Basic Driving Course provided by VETA College or another College recognized by the Government.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
1. All applicants must be citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania and not exceed 45 years of age. However, for positions within the Military Institutions:
Applicants for non-degree positions must not exceed 25 years of age.
Applicants for degree positions must not exceed 30 years of age.

3. All applicants must attach a birth certificate certified by a Lawyer/Solicitor.
4. Applicants who are employed in the Public Service, SHOULD NOT APPLY and are required to comply with the instructions contained in document number CAC45/257/01/D/140 dated 30 November 2010.
5. All applications should be accompanied by professional certificates, descriptions, copies of certificates certified by a Lawyer/Attorney which are birth certificates, certificates of completion of various courses based on the qualifications of the relevant job: – Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates. Professional certificates from respective boards.
6. “Testmonials”, “Provisional Results”, “Statement of results”, Form IV and Form VI RESULTS SLIPS will NOT be accepted.
7. Applicants who studied outside Tanzania should ensure that their certificates have been verified and approved by the relevant Authorities (TCU, NECTA and NACTVET). For applicants for cadres requiring ‘GPA’ who studied outside Tanzania, they should attach a ‘GPA’ calculation certificate from TCU.
8. Applicants who have retired from the Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have the approval of the Principal Secretary.
9. Submission of false information and qualifications will be subject to legal action.
