5 New Vacancies at East African Crude Oil Pipeline co (EACOP) April 2026, East African Crude Oil Pipeline co (EACOP) is in charge of the construction and the operation of the 1,443km crude oil export infrastructure that will transport Uganda’s crude oil from Kabaale – Hoima in Uganda to the Chongoleani peninsula near Tanga port in Tanzania for export to the international market.

1: Local Content Intern

Local Content Intern
As a Local Content Intern at EACOP, you will support both reporting and performance tracking as well as capacity building initiatives related to local content. This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data analysis, compliance monitoring, stakeholder engagement, and community development. You will contribute to enhancing local participation and maximizing the benefits of EACOP’s operations for Tanzanian communities and businesses.Key Responsibilities

  • Support the monitoring of EACOP’s compliance with local content regulations and requirements
  • Assist in tracking, analyzing, and reporting local content performance metrics and capacity-building initiatives
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions on local content and capacity development
  • Support Level 1 contractors in organizing and supervising capacity-building initiatives
  • Assist in the development and implementation of awareness campaigns on EACOP’s local content commitments
  • Engage with local communities, businesses, and government stakeholders to understand their needs and challenges
  • Contribute to data collection, documentation, and reporting of local content activities
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the Local Content team as required

Key Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Law, Community Development, or a related discipline, with a strong background in data management and Excel
  • Must provide an introduction letter from the university, a copy of the student ID
  • Must provide an academic transcript/testimonial with a minimum of an upper-second class
  • Must be available full-time for the duration of the internship

2:  Communication Intern

Internship offers hands-on experience in corporate communications, public relations, and stakeholder engagement within a large-scale international project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation: Assist in creating and editing content for various communication channels, including social media, newsletters, press releases, and the company website.
  • Social Media Management: Support the management of EACOP’s social media accounts by scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and analyzing performance metrics.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in planning and organizing events, including press conferences, community outreach programs, and internal meetings.
  • Media Monitoring: Monitor media coverage and compile daily reports on relevant news and developments related to the project and the industry.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Support the communication team in engaging with stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and industry partners.
  • Research: Conduct research on communication trends, best practices, and relevant topics to inform the communication strategy.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the communication team, including scheduling meetings, maintaining contact lists, and organizing files.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Must provide an introduction letter from the university and a copy of the student ID.

3: Social and Environmental Investment Intern

The Social and Environmental Investment Intern will support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of community development and environmental investment initiatives. The Intern will be directly involved in supporting key initiatives related to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Government Relations, and National Content. In this role, the Intern will gain valuable hands-on experience in the areas of community engagement, policy advocacy, and fostering relationships with government bodies, local stakeholders, and national partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the SEI/CSR team in coordinating field activities related to community development initiatives.
  • Support tracking of SEI/CSR project progress and implementation status.
  • Assist with field monitoring of SEI/CSR projects under supervision.
  • Support data collection activities and assist in maintaining SEI/CSR project databases.
  • Contribute to the preparation of project reports, documentation, and supporting materials.
  • Assist in coordinating logistics for community engagements, meetings, and project activities.
  • Support engagement with contractors, partners, and beneficiary communities as directed.
  • Assist with monitoring and evaluation processes, including collection and organization of project data.
  • Ensure proper record‑keeping and filing of SEI/CSR project activities and documentation.
  • Currently pursuing a degree with a discipline in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering a related field.
  • Strong interest in Corporate Social Responsibility, Government Relations, and National Content development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This position is designed to provide exposure to the various facets of HR, including recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, training, and other administrative functions.

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including job posting and coordinating interviews.
  • Maintain and update the applicant tracking system.

HR Project Support:

  • Assist in implementing HR projects (e.g., employee engagement, training programs)
  • Track project timelines and deliverables
  • Prepare project documentation and reports
