Mixx by Yas is hiring an experienced MFS program director (core wallet transformation) to lead a major core wallet transformation program in Dar es Salaam.

This role is suited for a senior fintech, payments, mobile money, or digital banking professional with strong experience in program delivery, stakeholder coordination, vendor management, migration execution, regulatory compliance, and large-scale digital transformation.

Education requirements

Applicants should have:

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or a related field.

A master’s degree, MBA, or equivalent qualification is preferred.

Experience requirements

Applicants should have:

At least 12 years of progressive experience in program or portfolio management.

At least 5 years of experience in fintech, payments, or digital banking.

Core responsibilities

The MFS program director will be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of the core wallet transformation program, ensuring successful execution, governance, and operational readiness.

Key responsibilities include:

Lead the end-to-end delivery of the core wallet transformation program, ensuring roadmap execution, milestone achievement, and strategic alignment.

Coordinate all migration workstreams, including product, compliance, operations, technical integration, data migration, and customer readiness.

Manage cross-functional teams across engineering, product, operations, compliance, vendors, and group functions to ensure integrated delivery.

Establish governance structures, executive reporting, and stakeholder coordination to drive decision-making and issue resolution.

Act as the key liaison between leadership, technology teams, vendors, partners, and customers throughout the transformation program.

Oversee Huawei Core Wallet and third-party vendor performance, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and operational readiness.

Lead migration and cutover execution, including testing, rehearsals, go-live coordination, and seamless customer transition.

Identify and mitigate program, operational, cybersecurity, and customer-impact risks while ensuring regulatory and audit compliance.

Ensure compliance with fintech and mobile money regulations, including PCI DSS, AML, KYC, GDPR, and GSMA standards.

Drive operational excellence through KPI monitoring, transaction efficiency, reconciliation, post-migration support, and continuous improvement.

Oversee wallet modernization initiatives, including cloud-native architecture, APIs, integrations, scalability, performance, and security optimization.

Lead change management, communication, and capability-building initiatives to enhance adoption, customer experience, and business growth.
