Job Opportunities at Iringa District Council June 2026, The Executive Director of Iringa District Council invites all citizens residents of Iringa Region who are qualified and willing to work on a temporary employment on a special contract basis for the position of:

 REVENUE COLLECTOR – 5 POSITIONS

APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS

Applicant must be a Tanzanian citizen aged between 25 and 40 years.

The applicant must have completed Form Four.

The applicant must be able to use a smartphone.

The applicant must be willing to work in rural areas within the Iringa District Council and at all times.

The applicant must be honest and have never been convicted of any criminal offence.

The applicant must have a NIDA ID or voter ID.

The applicant must have never worked as a revenue collector in the Iringa District Council.

1.1.2 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

To collect taxes arising from various Council revenues and levies.

To ensure that all funds collected for the day are transferred to the bank.

To ensure that all revenues are collected using the Point of Sale (POS) machine and to issue valid receipts of the Iringa District Council.

To ensure that the POS machine is in good condition and is used all the time (online) without being turned off (offline).

To verify and inspect cargo and payment of taxes and levies at work sites.

To take appropriate action against anyone who violates laws, regulations and procedures.

To perform other tasks assigned by the work supervisor.

1.1.3 SALARY

Salary payment will be subject to conditions as determined by both parties.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS

Applicant must be a Tanzanian citizen and a resident of Iringa Region.

The applicant must have letters of three (3) guarantors who know the applicant well and have immovable properties
in their areas of origin or are Government servants.

The letters of guarantorship must be endorsed by the Village/Mtaa Executive of the applicant
.

The applicant must attach two recent passport-size photographs.

The applicant must be of sound mind, honest and professional.

The applicant must not have been charged in court and found guilty of a criminal offence.

The application letter must be forwarded to the Ward Executive of the applicant

The application letter should be accompanied by educational certificates along with a CV indicating the applicant’s contact number and address.

Applicants who meet the criteria will be called for an interview.
