75 Job Opportunities at Njombe Town Council June 2026, Njombe Town Council is one of the three (3) Councils that make up Njombe District, the other Councils being Makambako Town and Njombe District Council.
This Council was established in 2007 after Njombe District Council was split. It is bordered to the East by Njombe District Council, to the North by Wanging`ombe District Council, to the West by Makete and Wanging`ombe Districts, to the South by Ludewa District and Ruvuma Region.
Njombe Town Council covers an area of ​​3,212 square kilometres and is divided into 2 Divisions, 13 Wards; (3) Wards are urban and (10) are rural, 44 Villages and 28 Streets.
1.1 Population
According to the 2012 population and housing census, Njombe Town Council had a population of 130,223 (61,112 Me and 69,111 Ke). For the year 2022 the population is estimated to be 182,127 (95,794 females and 86,333 males). This is due to an increase in population growth of 0.8 percent per year.
1.2 Climate
In general, the climate of Njombe Town Council is good for life and production. The rainy season starts from October to April where rainfall reaches between 1200 to 1400 millimeters per year. In addition, some areas receive autumn rains during the month of September.
In addition, there is a cold season where temperatures drop to (40C) this period starts from May to August; and the summer season (280C) starts from November to March.
The Director of Njombe Town Council hereby announces seventy-five (75) contract employment opportunities for a period of one (1) year for Revenue Inspectors at Council Gates. Applications are invited from qualified and competent Tanzanian citizens to fill the positions listed in this announcement.

1. GATE REVENUE INSPECTOR – 75 POSITIONS
(a) Qualifications
Applicants must have completed Ordinary Level (Form Four) or Advanced Level (Form Six) education and must have passed Mathematics.
Duties and Responsibilities
a) Counting and verifying goods to ensure that cargo loaded on transport vehicles has paid the required Council levy and possesses a valid Government receipt corresponding to the applicable charges.
b) Maintaining records of all vehicles transporting forest products, cash crops, and food crops passing through the Council checkpoint (gate).
c) Reporting to the Ward Executive Officer and Village Executive Officer where the gate is located, as well as to the Director of Njombe Town Council.
2. INSTRUCTIONS
i. All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years.
ii. All applicants must apply in accordance with the conditions stated in this JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT.
iii. Applicants must attach copies of the following certificates:
a) Form Four or Form Six Examination Certificate.
b) Birth Certificate.
c) Two recent passport-size photographs.
iv. Application letters may be written in either Kiswahili or English.
v. Candidates invited for interviews will be required to meet their own expenses.
vi. Applicants must provide two guarantors who are Public Servants.
vii. The deadline for receiving applications is 30/06/2026 at 3:30 PM. Applications received after this deadline will not be considered.
