20 Job Vacancies at Pasiansi Wildlife Training Institute June 2026, Pasiansi Wildlife Training Institute (PWTI) is a government institution under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism (MNRT).
It is situated in Pasiansi Ward, Ilemela District, Mwanza City along Makongoro road. PWTI covers an area of 10.6 hectares.
The Institute is located along Lake Victoria shore bordering Lake Zone Anti-Poaching Unit (ZAPU) to the West, and hosting Malihai Clubs of Tanzania Lake Zone Office (MCT) within its premises.
ZAPU and Malihai Clubs are under the Tanzania Wildlife Authority (TAWA) of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism (MNRT).
The Institute is located about five (5) kilometers from Saanane Island National Park.
The Principal of Pasiansi Wildlife Training Institute announces volunteer employment opportunities for qualified Tanzanian citizens as outlined below according to the respective cadres.
1. STORE KEEPER – 1 POSITION
Qualifications
Applicants must possess a Certificate or Diploma in Procurement and Supply Management from a government-recognized institution.
Duties and Responsibilities
Receive and store incoming supplies and materials.
Issue materials to the relevant departments following established procedures.
Maintain accurate records of stock received and issued.
Ensure proper storage, safety, and organization of stock.
Conduct regular stock inspections.
Report shortages, damage, or loss of stock.
Coordinate cleanliness and safety within the store area.
2. ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT – 1 POSITION
Qualifications
Applicants must possess a Degree or Diploma in Accounting from a government-recognized institution or hold an ATEC II Certificate issued by the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA).
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare student fee payment control numbers.
Prepare payment vouchers and receipts.
Follow up on outstanding student fee balances.
Process various payments as directed by the Head of Unit.
Assist in preparing and maintaining financial records.
3. DISCIPLINARIANS (WARDENS) – 9 POSITIONS
Qualifications
Applicants must possess a Certificate in Wildlife Conservation and Law Enforcement or a Certificate in Tour Guiding and Security from a government-recognized institution and must be physically and mentally fit.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain student discipline in accordance with institutional laws, regulations, and procedures.
Supervise and lead physical training sessions, including drills and fitness exercises.
Conduct all forms of parade training.
Supervise manual work sessions, hostel cleanliness, and the overall institute environment.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Principal.
4. LIBRARIANS – 2 POSITIONS
Qualifications
Applicants must possess a Certificate or Diploma in Library and Records Management from a government-recognized institution.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure cleanliness of the institute library.
Maintain books and other library materials.
Arrange books systematically within the library.
Issue books to users and monitor their return.
Prepare and submit monthly reports to the Principal.
5. RECORDS OFFICER – 1 POSITION
Qualifications
Applicants must possess a Diploma or Degree in Records Management and Archives from a government-recognized institution.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure cleanliness of the registry office.
Receive visitors and direct them appropriately.
Maintain active file records.
Circulate files and correspondence through the e-office system.
Safeguard all registry office equipment and materials.
6. ASSISTANT INSTRUCTORS – 3 POSITIONS
Qualifications
Applicants must possess:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Wildlife Management; or
A Bachelor’s Degree in Adult and Community  Education; or
A Bachelor’s Degree in Geography and Biology, with experience teaching wildlife-related subjects, from a government-recognized institution.
Duties and Responsibilities
Teach short-term and long-term training courses in collaboration with the lead instructor.
Prepare and administer examinations under the supervision of the relevant instructor.
Mark examinations.
Prepare examination and assessment results and submit them to the relevant instructor.
7. ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN – 1 POSITION
Qualifications
Applicants must possess a Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a government-recognized institution.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide reports and recommendations on electrical faults and repairs.
Operate and maintain the generator during power outages.
Supervise generator maintenance activities.
Monitor fuel and generator equipment usage.
Install and replace electrical lighting in areas experiencing lighting faults.
Recommend measures for efficient electricity usage.
Inspect and report any damage to electrical power sources.
Work closely with the Institute Maintenance Officer in managing electrical systems, particularly in student hostels.
8. PLUMBER – 1 POSITION
Qualifications
Applicants must possess a Vocational Training Certificate (VETA Trade Test Grade I, II, or III) from a government-recognized institution.
Duties and Responsibilities
Repair plumbing systems whenever water leakage occurs within the institute.
Carry out maintenance and repairs of the institute’s plumbing systems.
Prepare cost estimates for plumbing repairs.
Conduct inspections and provide advice on clean water and wastewater systems.
Ensure plumbing safety and cleanliness in accordance with quality standards.
9. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY OFFICER – 1 POSITION
Qualifications
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Computer Engineering, or Information Systems from a government-recognized institution.
Duties and Responsibilities
Network administration and management.
Protect networks against cyber threats and viruses.
Software development.
Maintenance of computers, servers, printers, and other electronic equipment.
Provide technical support to staff experiencing network or computer-related issues.
Advise on technology procurement and maintenance requirements.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS
Applicants must:
Be a Tanzanian citizen aged between 18 and 35 years.
Be a graduate holding a Certificate, Diploma, or Degree from a government-recognized institution.
Be the lawful holder of academic certificates.
Have two guarantors who are public servants.
Obtain a recommendation letter from the Village Executive Officer, Street Executive Officer, or Local Government authority.
Be willing to serve as a volunteer in the respective position.
Have never been convicted by a court of law for criminal or disciplinary offenses.
Possess good conduct and character acceptable to society.
Have never been employed by any public institution since graduation.

Volunteer allowances/remuneration will be guided by the directive issued by the President’s Office – Public Service Management and Good Governance in 2025.
