1: SENIOR SPECIALIST WAN AND LAN

Reporting Line: MANAGER WAN & LAN

Location: Tanzania Head Office

Job Purpose

Manage WAN & LAN and overall Bank network operations to ensure they function efficiently. Tasks such as collecting network performance data, monitoring network security, troubleshooting issues, anticipating problems and performing routine maintenance.

Principle Responsibilities

Manage critical and high impact network incidents.

Perform analysis of network infrastructure and contribute towards design, integration and enhancements.

Work with cross-functional teams to identify risks and issues, create plans to mitigate and resolve them.

Act as technical liaison with vendors to resolve issues within prescribed SLAs.

Participate in IT infrastructure projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Ensure proper case handling and provide coaching and training as necessary.

Develop documentation and knowledge base for issues and remediation steps for Tier 1&2 support teams.

Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, strong conceptual and analytical skills along with ability to work as an effective team member.

Remains highly informed on industry best practices applicable to the responsibilities of this position

To troubleshoot, and resolve WAN performance, connectivity, and related network problems

To design, analyze and implement WAN equipment and design a cost-effective system configuration that meets the users’ requirements.

Working with multiple communication and network vendors to design the infrastructure at our new building or Branches.

Conduct research and propose appropriate recommendations on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network service continuous improvements.

Working with multiple communication and network vendors to design and improve the network infrastructure of the Bank particularly in LAN & WAN connectivity

Create technical documentations for Network Infrastructure solutions and maintenance of network inventories in both WAN & LAN deployed solutions

Configure routing and switching equipment including for LAN and WAN services

Work with project office/delivery teams to plan, design and deploy network solutions to accommodate Bank’s services

Deploy and support operations of WAN, LAN, Wireless Network including routers, switches, access points, firewalls, load balancers, P2P links, VPNs, etc.

To facilitate the purchase, and tracking of IT equipment, software, and licenses.

To maintain and optimize the health and efficiency of end-user systems.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s degree in computer systems technology or a related field is required.

At least 5 years of experience in network and Infrastructure preferable in Banking environment.

Essential certifications: CompTIA Network+ Certification, Cisco CCNA Certification, Cisco CCNP Certification, Certified WAN professional (CWP).

Knowledge in router, Firewalls, Switches configuration & troubleshooting.

Knowledge in analyzing, testing, and evaluating networks to make sure that they run properly and that they have the resources necessary for smooth functioning.

Knowledge in network security including architecture and configuration of Cisco routers, firewalls, and a wide range of security products.

Demonstrates strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, along with excellent customer service capabilities for effective stakeholder engagement.

Possesses solid expertise in routing and switching, network security, compliance, and technical interactions with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Applies strong analytical skills to troubleshoot, manage network performance, and ensure efficient and secure operations.

2: SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR OFFICE APPLICATIONS

Job Purpose

System Administrator Office Applications is responsible for providing second level operational support and maintenance of Office Applications systems which includes but not limited to Active Directory Services, Enterprise Email solution and M365 collaboration platforms (teams, one drive), Office Automation applications (SharePoint, Intranet, Optima, smart service, iform etc), Enterprise File Management system. (NetApp), External customer facing platforms (Corporate website, domains etc), Printing services.

Incumbent will be responsible to maintain maximum uptime and work closely with business units to achieve organization goals.

Principle Responsibilities

Provide Second line support for all Office Application systems by providing operational support with all business units and ensure systems and services are operating at optimal level.

Perform daily system health check and monitoring on all Office Applications systems as per system checklists and prepare daily status report.

Ensure that all issues under Audit, Security and Compliance are attended timely and all raised issues by internal and external auditors are mitigated/resolved on time as per bank policies and procedure.

Works collaboratively with NOC, SOC and Service Management team by managing all incidents and close all opened tickets within SLA and escalate to vendor in case there is a need.

Participate on Disaster Recovery activities, system maintenance, Change Management and backup process.

Working together with other system administrators and vendors in the process of troubleshooting incidents and must be flexible and available for 24/7.

Coordinate with all relevant business units with regards to training and testing on new and existing application within the unit and attend appropriate training and workshop programs.

Participate in all ICT projects for holistic visionary and control based on established governance practices and architecture models.

Carryout other assignment as may be assigning by Manager Office Applications, ICT management and Executive management.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, ICT or related academic field.

At least 1 year of experience from any financial institution.

Any professional certification is an added advantage.

Demonstrated technical knowledge in system administration, including the management, configuration, and troubleshooting of client and server operating systems to ensure secure and reliable IT operations.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) and enterprise collaboration platforms.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Technical handling interaction with vendors, contractors and other stakeholders.

Familiarity with enterprise storage solutions (e.g., NetApp) and file management systems.

Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.

2: SENIOR SPECIALIST-ACCOUNTING AND REPORTING (3 YEARS CONTRACT)

Job Purpose

To support the Finance Manager in ensuring effective financial management, reporting, compliance, and accountability for the Foundation’s Community-Based Financing (CBF) programs. The role focuses on financial reporting, budget monitoring, donor fund tracking, and strengthening internal controls to support sound decision-making and financial sustainability.

Principle Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and complete accounting records for all CBF transactions in line with organizational policies and accounting standards.

Process and review journal entries, ledger postings, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Prepare periodic financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports for internal and donor use.

Prepare and track reports on utilization of donor funds in line with grant agreements and reporting requirements.

Analyse actual versus budgeted expenditures and provide variance analysis with clear explanations.

Support budget preparation processes by providing financial data and historical analysis.

Monitor project expenditures and ensure costs are charged correctly and within approved budgets.

Perform monthly reconciliations (bank, cash, advances, and other balance sheet accounts).

Ensure compliance with donor regulations, internal policies, and statutory requirements.

Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all financial transactions.

Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reports, and responding to audit queries.

Strengthen and adhere to internal control systems to ensure accountability and transparency.

Collaborate with program teams to ensure proper financial planning, monitoring, and reporting of CBF activities.

Monitor financial performance of CBF projects and highlight risks or irregularities.

Support the Finance Manager in improving financial reporting processes and systems.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.

At least 3 years of proven experience in a similar role or related field.

CPA or ACCA certification is an added advantage.

Knowledge of International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) is a plus.

Proven experience in financial management, preferably in the nonprofit sector.

Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and investment management.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-finance stakeholders.

Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong understanding of donor funding requirements and financial reporting compliance.
