New Vacancies at Bagamoyo Sugar Limited July 2026, At the behest of the Tanzanian Government, the green field project of Bagamoyo Sugar Limited (Bagamoyo Sugar), a unit of Bakhresa Group, was incorporated on 01 December 2016, to grow sugar cane in the nucleus estate and produce sugar at Makurunge, Bagamoyo District.
The main objective of the project is not only reducing dependence on sugar imports and attaining self-sufficiency, but also producing surplus sugar for export. It is the first time that this project is being implemented in Tanzania at this scale.
The sugar plant is being supplied by Thyssenkrupp India Pvt Ltd, a German company based in India and the farm is supported for irrigation using state-of-the-art digital farm technology, from Netafim, an Israeli-based company.
The project implementation is going on as per schedule to start commercial production by mid-2022. In phase 1 of the project, it is estimated to produce about 30,000 tonnes of sugar.
1: POSITION: AUTO ELECTRICAN CUM AC TECHNICIAN

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
To repair and service all machine air conditioning system
To perform preventive maintenance for the air conditioning system.
To diagnose and repair electrical issues in vehicles
To install electrical components such as lights, batteries and GPS Systems.
To perform routine maintenance on electrical systems, including batteries and alternators.
• To read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams accurately

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate turbines and auxiliary equipment per procedures.
Start, synchronize, load, unload, and shut down safely.
Monitor parameters (pressure, temperature, vibration, speed, load) and act when needed.
Inspect turbines, generators, lubrication, cooling, condensers, and auxiliaries.
Report abnormalities in operation, equipment, or process.
Respond to alarms, trips, and emergencies to reduce downtime.
Coordinate with control room, boiler operators, and maintenance teams.
Assist with isolation, lockout/tag out, and commissioning.
Support maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance testing.
Maintain housekeeping in turbine and auxiliary areas.

Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to monitor equipment performance and respond quickly to operational changes.

3: POSITION: BOILER DCS OPERATOR
VACANCIES: ONE (01)

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate and monitor boiler systems using the DCS.
Maintain steam pressure, temperature, water levels, and combustion parameters within specified operating limits.
Monitor process trends and respond promptly to alarms and abnormal operating conditions.
Perform boiler start-up, shutdown, and load changes according to standard operating procedures.
Record operating data, shift logs, equipment status, and production reports accurately.
Assist maintenance teams during planned shutdowns and equipment repairs.
Monitor fuel, feed water, air, and steam systems for efficient operation.
Identify operational abnormalities and report them to supervisors for corrective action.
Any other duties as may be assigned by the management.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED.
Experience in operating industrial boilers or power plant equipment using a DCS is preferred.
Knowledge of boiler operation, steam generation, combustion systems, and auxiliary equipment.
