1: Key Account Manager Corporate & Partnership  

Job Description

Mixx by Yas is looking for a qualified and experienced professional to join the team as a Key Account Manager – Corporate & Partnerships. This position is based in Dar es Salaam and offers an opportunity to contribute to customer growth, strategic partnerships, and digital financial services.

Qualifications

Applicants must have:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Corporate Sales, Key Account Management, Banking, Telecommunications, FinTech, Digital Payments, or related industries.

Core Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Achieving allocated revenue, transaction value, and customer growth targets.

Acquiring new corporate customers and strategic partners.

Leading end-to-end customer onboarding and coordinating implementation.

Driving customer activation and product adoption after go-live.

Developing and executing customer retention plans to minimize churn.

Managing strategic relationships with key decision makers.

Identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities across the Mixx portfolio.

Coordinating with Product, Technology, Operations, Finance, Compliance, and Marketing teams.

Monitoring customer performance and preparing portfolio reports.

Ensuring compliance with KYC, AML, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

2: Key Account Manager Merchant Payments  

Qualifications

Applicants must have:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

2–4 years’ experience in merchant acquiring, key account management, sales, or customer relationship roles.

Core Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Lead acquisition of high-value merchants in priority sectors (HORECA, supermarkets, FMCG, fuel stations) based on ticket size, transaction frequency, and growth potential.

Drive value-based sales of integrated solutions (LKS, API, Web Portal, Merchant App) to increase wallet share and ecosystem adoption.

Execute sector-focused market attacks by coordinating field teams and freelancers to dominate high-potential commercial zones.

Ensure accurate merchant onboarding, including configuration, pricing, settlement processes, and branding compliance.

Manage and grow a portfolio of high-value merchants, owning TPV, revenue yield, activity levels, transaction frequency, and ticket size growth.

Build strong merchant relationships, act as the primary contact, resolve issues within 12 hours, and prevent competitive churn.

Monitor merchant performance using data insights, identify at-risk accounts early, and implement retention and recovery actions.

Conduct regular merchant engagement visits, training, and ensure consistent Lipa Kwa Simu usage across all relevant touchpoints.

Collaborate with Product, Technical, Operations, and Support teams to resolve Tier-1 merchant issues and improve service delivery.

Identify dormant high-value merchants, conduct root cause analysis, implement targeted recovery initiatives, incentives, and ensure sustained reactivation.

Maintain accurate merchant records, dashboards, visit logs, and report KPIs including TPV, transaction frequency, retention, churn, reactivation, and product adoption.

Provide market intelligence on competitors, merchant needs, sector trends, process gaps, and recommend improvements to enhance merchant experience, retention, and revenue growth.
