Job Vacancies at Zanzibar University September 2026, Zanzibar University is the first university established in Zanzibar. It was founded in 1998 by Darul Iman Charitable Association to expand access to quality higher education and serve society through knowledge.
The University sits in the peaceful Tunguu area, overlooking the Indian Ocean. From its first students and programmes, it has grown into a diverse academic community committed to teaching, research, innovation and public service.
Zanzibar University invites job application from suitably qualified and competent candidates to fill the following vacancies.
FACULTY OF HEALTH AND ALLIED SCIENCES (FOHAS)
1. ASSISTANT LECTURERS – PUBLIC HEALTH (2 Posts)
Minimum Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, Medicine, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences, or any relevant field, with a minimum CGPA of 3.5.
Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH), with a minimum CGPA of 4.0.
2. ASSISTANT LECTURERS – OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH (2 Posts)
Minimum Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Public Health, Environmental Health, Medicine, or any relevant field, with a minimum CGPA of 3.5.
Master’s degree in Occupational Health, with a minimum CGPA of 4.0.
3. ASSISTANT LECTURERS – DISASTER & EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT (2 Posts)
Minimum Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Disaster Management, Emergency Management, or any relevant field, with a minimum CGPA of 3.5.
Master’s degree in Disaster Management or Emergency Management, with a minimum CGPA of 4.0.
4. TUTORIAL ASSISTANTS – MEDICINE (2 Posts)
Minimum Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Medicine (MD or MBBS) with a minimum CGPA of 3.5.
5. TUTORIAL ASSISTANT – MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCES (1 Post)
Minimum Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Laboratory Technology, with a minimum CGPA of 3.5.
6. LABORATORY TECHNICIAN (1 Post)
Minimum Academic Qualifications:
Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Laboratory Technology. with a minimum CGPA of 3.5.
