The mine is situated in the Lake Victoria Gold fields of Northwestern Tanzania, only about 85 km’s from Mwanza City and 20 km’s Southeast of the nearest point of Lake Victoria. The company has its head office in Geita, only 5 Km’s west of the fast-growing town of Geita, and also a supporting office in Dar es Salaam.

POSITIONS:

1: Assistant 1 – Grade Control

OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

To execute and maintain quality RC drilling process by ensuring quality samples are recovered from RC drilling rigs.

Collect and document accurate data into Tally sheets, reports and other adopted systems and ensure that sample contamination and sample loss are minimised

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Managing and preparing grade control samples with zero shortcuts
Accurately documenting information that drives major operational decisions
Supporting drilling practice improvements and reducing ore dilution
Ensuring each shift ends with clear, reliable reporting
Upholding our safety culture and proactively identifying risks

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Education & Qualification

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

Exposure to Open Pit Mining environment is added advantage
Basic understanding of Open Pit environment and sampling

2: Geologist 3 – Exploration

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Lead cross‑functional technical reviews to challenge geological interpretations, drilling strategies, and target prioritization.
Develop medium‑ to long‑term exploration roadmaps incorporating risk assessment, confidence levels, and resource growth expectations.
Align project strategies with Life-of-Mine requirements, ensuring exploration work supports business continuity and future mining options.
Oversee multi‑dataset integration (geophysics, geochemistry, structural mapping, drilling results) to refine targeting accuracy.
Validate and approve geological models generated by junior geologists, ensuring consistency with resource estimation standards.
Lead structural interpretation workshops to improve understanding of mineralization controls across multiple deposits.
Evaluate drilling productivity, meter‑cost efficiency, sample quality, and rig utilization trends and implement improvements.
Develop alternative drill‑testing strategies using step‑out logic, depth progression, or directional drilling where applicable.
Conduct post‑drilling reviews to measure program performance against objectives and adjust strategy accordingly.
Ensure exploration activities comply with environmental, social, community, and regulatory frameworks.
Support community-relations teams during land access negotiations and ensure work progresses ethically and respectfully.
Participate in environmental monitoring and ensure drill sites are rehabilitated according to standards.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Education & Qualification

Bachelor of Science in Geology / Advanced Diploma or Higher
Understanding of the Tanzanian Mining Act 2010 as amended in 2017.
Understanding of the International Organization for Standardization ISO45001 of 2018 and ISO14001:2015.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

A minimum of 5 to 7 years of working experience in Mineral Exploration, Open pit and Underground mining.
Knowledge of Exploration Business Exploration Budgeting & Mining Cycle.
Competence on computer-aided software’s such as Arc GIS, Datamine & Leapfrog.
Competence in Microsoft office suite.
Good knowledge of geological data analysis, interpretation and 3D geological modelling.

3: Guard Security

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Adhere to all safety standards and high-risk security standard procedures.
Monitor and control the entry and exit of all staff, contractors, and visitors by verifying ID cards and gate pass authorizations.
Manage delivery vehicles by verifying authorized forms and providing escorts within the process plant.
Conduct thorough vehicle and personal searches at all access points and search cubicles.
Ensure only authorized materials are removed from the plant through the Waybill system.
Maintain airlock housekeeping to ensure the area remains free of gold-bearing materials.
Perform foot patrols of the gold processing plant and perimeter to inspect for faults in fencing or lighting.
Conduct interior patrols and disruptive searches within high-risk areas to prevent unauthorized entry.
Oversee metallurgy high-risk activities, including mill relining, plant shutdowns, and daily maintenance.
Participate in the secure loading of high-risk value Doré during bullion shipments.
Ensure full compliance with all high-risk area registers and security documentation.
Identify potential losses, conduct vulnerability checks, and report suspicious behavior or breaches to the shift supervisor.
Receive, record, and deliver security operation recovery samples to lab technicians.

5: Tradesperson 1 – UG – Mechanic

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Perform maintenance and repairs on underground mining equipment
Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults

Ensure compliance with safety standards
Ensure work is performed to the OEM’S standard and ensure quality of work increases over time after the equipment is released to production.
Be able to plan work before execution.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

VETA trade test certificate grade one or level three in mechanic engineering
Diploma or FTC in mechanical or automotive engineering

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

Three years’ experience and above working in the underground equipment’s Caterpillar Truck, Loader, Sandvik Truck & Loader, Normet and Drill Rigs
Experience with diesel engines and powertrain systems
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Strong troubleshooting skills

Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems

6: Tradesperson 1 – Electrical

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
Ensure all work is completed to required standards and within timelines
Identify and diagnose electrical faults and failures
Carry out effective repairs to restore equipment operation
Minimize downtime and production interruptions
Maintain high levels of equipment reliability and availability
Install and commission electrical equipment, systems, and components
Conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical systems
Identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions
Complete maintenance reports, job cards, and records accurately

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

Minimum 3 years working experience as an Electrician in process plant or worked as an Electrical Supervisor in process plant, manufacturing plant, cement or petrochemical plant
Any work experience as substation operator, technician or Engineer will be considered
Strong fault diagnosis and troubleshooting skills
Ability to install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and systems
Experience in using electrical testing tools (multimeters, insulation testers, clamp meters)
Ability to perform equipment inspections and testing

7: Tradesperson 1 – UG HV Electrical

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Maintain and repair high-voltage electrical systems
Perform fault diagnosis and troubleshooting
Conduct preventive and breakdown maintenance
Ensure compliance with safety and electrical standards
Assembling and installing electrical and electronic systems in the equipment
Perform routine maintenance on machine to make sure they give maximum output as per designed standard
Co-operate with all stakeholders and assist in coordinating all electrical works to ensure that all equipment is optimized and running efficiently
Responds promptly to all breakdowns, ensuring that equipment is returned effectively to production, whilst causing minimum disruption to its continuity and without compromising product quality or safety.
Carries out planned maintenance activities in line with maintenance schedules and helps to develop and maintain schedules in line with requirements

8: Technical Aid 2 – Ore Control

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Assist with ore marking and grade control activities
Support sampling, data collection, and logging
Maintain accurate records and communication with operations teams
Accurately mark ore and waste boundaries in accordance with grade control instructions
Assist in ensuring minimal ore dilution and loss
Verify that mining follows planned ore outline
Support geologists in ore body identification and delineation
Assist in monitoring ore quality and consistency
Identify and report deviations from expected grades
Work closely with mining operations teams to guide ore extraction
Communicate ore boundaries and instructions clearly to operators
Support alignment between planning and execution
Conduct routine underground or open-pit inspections

Supervise maintenance and repair of heavy mobile equipment (HME)

Manage breakdowns and minimize equipment downtime
Enforce compliance with safety and maintenance standards

10: Graduate Mine Surveyor

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Deliver accurate survey control and set-out services to support safe and efficient mining operations.
Conduct pit, stockpile, and mining limit surveys to ensure excavation aligns with approved designs.
Set out drill and blast patterns, grade control holes, exploration holes, and other key survey requirements.
Prepare survey files from mine designs and complete pre-blast verification surveys.
Use and maintain surveying equipment to a high operational standard.
Apply laser scanning technology to capture data in inaccessible or complex mining areas.
Collaborate with technical and operational teams to ensure effective daily survey support.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Education & Qualification

Bachelor of Science in Geomatics or Land Surveying or Mine Surveying from the recognized institution

At least one (1) year working experience in mining or construction industry
Use of GPS and total stations
Computer literate, especially MS offices and CAD software.
