24 New Vacancies at PBZ Bank April 2026, The People’s Bank of Zanzibar Ltd established Islamic banking services in 2011 to add a new package to its service offering to the public. The bank started the proposition by offering deposit products and towards the end of the year it started offering financing facilities in the form of Bai Murabahah and Bai Muajjal to commercial and individual customers.
As the products proved to be a success, management continued with offering other products to cope with market demand and hence, Mortgage Financing, Education financing and IKHLAS Rent Financing were introduced.
Currently, additional products like Commodity Murabbah (TAWARRUQ), Musharaka, Istisna, Salam, Hajj financing and Murabahah Revolving Line are in offering.
The People’s Bank of Zanzibar Limited (PBZ) is a commercial bank owned by the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar by 100%. The Bank continues to provide excellent financial services to its customers in Zanzibar and Mainland Tanzania.
In its efforts to enhance the provision of quality services and promote/increase the sales
of its products, PBZ invites applications from young people with enthusiasm, creativity and good ability to persuade to join the Bank for the position of Sales in the Marketing Department.
These jobs will be on a fixed-term contract.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
▪ Promote and sell the Bank’s products and services to new and existing customers.
▪ Motivate customers to open accounts and use the Bank’s products.
▪ Provide accurate information to customers about PBZ services and ensure customers are satisfied.
▪ Involved in all sales and marketing activities.
▪ Achieve set sales targets and submit performance reports on time.
APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS:
Be a Tanzanian
Not older than 35 years.
Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Accounting, Economics, Banking, Insurance, International Relations or a similar field.
▪ Have a CV and Birth Certificate.
▪ Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
▪ Be enthusiastic, persuasive, and result-oriented.
▪ Be willing to work independently in a challenging environment.
▪ Have original certificates of completion of studies.
▪ Not be a government employee.
