1: Accounting Officer

Job Summary

Record and maintain financial transactions in the general ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness of information.

Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows.

Manage revenue collection processes by ensuring timely invoicing and monitoring customer accounts receivable.

Assist internal and external audits by providing required financial documentation and information.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.

Professional certifications such as CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) will be an added advantage.

Experience in financial accounting positions in recognized institutions; experience in the sugar industry will be an added advantage.

2: IT Officer – Systems Management

Position Summary

Manage and maintain the institution’s IT systems environment, including servers, operating systems, and underlying infrastructure, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.

Analyze operational and technical requirements to design and implement a secure, scalable, and efficient systems infrastructure based on the institution’s needs.

Plan, configure, install, and test server hardware, operating systems (Linux/Windows), and systems management tools based on established standards and procedures.

Monitor system performance using specialized tools, analyze system statistics and logs, and make performance improvements to increase system efficiency and availability.

Identify and resolve hardware, software, and network problems to ensure rapid service recovery and minimize system downtime.

Design and execute system load and stress tests to verify system capabilities and plan for future requirements, as well as escalate complex issues to vendors as needed.

Implement and manage systems security controls, including user management, system updates, hardware protection, and system hardening.

Requirements

5: Senior Internal Auditor

Position Summary

a. Perform internal audit in respect of the adequacy and effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal controls.

b. Conduct risk assessment to be used for preparation strategic and annual audit plan.

c. Prepare annual and strategic plan according to Internation Professional Practices Framework (IPPF).

d. Prepare audit plan and engagement programme.

e. Lead audit team during audit engagements.

f. Review working paper as has been done the audit team.

g. Conduct a surprise audit.

h. Perform staff appraisals for subordinates.

i. Communicate audit plan to subordinates.

j. Review draft audit report from internal audit officer and follow up significant audit issues with the relevant heads of department or units.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in either Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration majoring in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions. Registered by national board of accountant and auditor (NBAA) Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Additional master’s degree and certificates such as, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CISA, CRISC, CRMA will be added advantage. At least six years (6) years of internal audit experience from reputable institutions.

6: Senior Logistics and Supply Chain Officer

Position Summary

Direct and supervise all transportation and logistics activities, including transportation planning, vehicle control, and product distribution.

Job Summary

Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily workshop activities to ensure timely maintenance and repair of agricultural equipment, tractors, trailers, harvesting machines, earthmoving and grading machines, and transportation vehicles.

Prepare and implement preventive maintenance and repair schedules for all equipment to reduce downtime and increase asset life.

Supervise mechanical repair, fabrication, welding, and upgrading of agricultural equipment and tools as required.

Supervise and direct workshop technicians, mechanics, welders, and fabricators, ensuring they adhere to maintenance standards and safety procedures.

Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety regulations and environmental protection in all maintenance activities.
