1: Technology Department, Tanzania.DBA and Backup Specialist

          KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for managing and supporting bank’s critical databases for Core Banking System, Digital channels, Clearing systems and others.
  • Responsible for configuring and maintaining database replication and ensuring that data is real time synchronized.
  • Installation, configuration, and design new database instances to support business requirements.
  • Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and version upgrades when required.
  • Configuration, monitoring, administration, and maintenance of backup solutions.
  • Troubleshooting backup issues related to databases, servers, Virtual Machines and File Systems.
  • Perform data restoration and recovery tests and maintain proper documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements regarding data backups.

    DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Routine production database support functions including and not limited to checking for table space free space and memory utilization.
  • Resolving database-related issues and working closely with the development staff.
  • Perform daily monitoring and management of the backup environment.
  • Configuration of backup solution on requested servers and Virtual Machines.
  • Perform database related native backups.

2: Human Resources Department,Tanzania.Graduate Trainee

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support daily banking operations, including documentation review, transaction processing, and reconciliations.
  • Respond to customers on and about Banking Products and related customer queries
  • Offer quality cash services
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, AML/CFT guidelines, and regulatory requirements
  • Deliver timely and high-quality service in accordance with set polices and procedures.
  • Ensure Work closely with the assigned supervisor to consistently achieve performance expectations. 
  • Participate in structured training programs and professional development activities

    DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • To receive and post cash deposits, cheque deposits and money orders
  • To make cash payments against authorized instruments.
  • To issue cheque-on-selves against covers
  • To give cash change
  • To ensure that cash held in the till is adequate
  • Lodge excess cash/currency in the strong room
  • Ensure that cash held in the till at the end of the business day tallies with the user’s cash analysis report
  • Compile and submit cash returns in respect of own general ledger accounts.

3: Technology Department, Tanzania.IT Quality Assurance Officer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Champion and coordinate business requirements reviews across functional teams and ensures that the business requirements    are complete, precise, and testable.
  • Works with project team to define and create overall project test strategy/test plan, plan test schedules or strategies and Identifies test resources, estimates test effort in accordance with project scope or delivery dates and ensures that the test strategy is achieved. 
  • Develop, document, and maintain functional and non-functional test cases, test scripts and other test artifacts like test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scripts.
  • Works collaboratively with the business units and project teams to execute and validate test cases based upon business requirements and ensures that the test cases are traceable to the requirements.
  • In collaboration with GEA and other critical stakeholders, tune the SQA processes, adopt tools and define re-usable templates in-line with the adoption and maturity of the SQA Framework.
  • Define test process including required test activities and deliverables, conduct Test Readiness Assessment, establish test beds and ensure that test beds are available for all planned white box and black box testing activities. 
  • Provide support to Co Banking application (T24) issues, user profile management and tracking of all changes as requested by business team and as per the DCOE change process. 
  • Prepare, share and review test results periodically, report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws and develop test acceptance reports for projects and software changes and ensure UAT optimal availability of UAT environments. 
  • Works with business units to perform post deployment sanity and regression tests and post-implementation review within defined period to confirm that the deployed solution works as per the business requirements. 
  • Participates in formulation and Implementation of Software process improvement policies and strategies for IT division.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, distribute, and coordinate in-depth business requirement reviews across functional teams and ensures that the business requirements are comprehensive, precise and testable.
  • Develop, document and maintain functional and non-functional test cases, test scripts and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scripts.
  • Provide support to Co Banking application (T24) issues, user profile management and tracking of all changes as requested by the business team. Share with IT Service Delivery Manager the list of T24 System changes and their status and ensure optimal availability of UAT environments. 
  • Prepare, share and review test results periodically, report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws and develop test acceptance reports for projects and software changes.

4: Treasury Department,Tanzania.Treasury Dealer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Performance Management:

  • Execute FX transactions (spot and simple forwards) for retail and SME clients
  • Provide competitive and timely pricing to branches and sales teams
  • Support branches in handling client FX requests and closing deals
  • Drive transaction volumes through active follow-up and client engagement
  • Assist clients with FX-related transactions (TTs, transfers, trade payments)
  • Monitor market movements and provide basic insights
  • Track competitor pricing and market trends
  • Coordinate with internal teams for smooth execution
  • Ensure high service standards and resolve client queries promptly
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations
  • Conduct client visits and maintain strong relationships with customers and branches
  • Attend departmental and cross-functional meetings as required
  • Ensure timely submission of reports and required documentation
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

  • Ensure full awareness of all policies relating to operational risk, sales processes, mis-selling, etc.
  • Manage and mitigate all operational, reputational, and business risks.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform daily market survey, analysis and report on competitors’ actions and general outlook
  • Prepare Daily Exchange rate sheet and circulate to Branches before commencement of business to ensure that all trades are done as per the day’s defined currencies trading strategy.
  • Review, monitor and manage the Banks Foreign Currencies positions and trading activities to ensure compliance with Internal and External Statutory requirements to achieve FX Trading revenue targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute application development initiatives to the overall IT strategy.
  • Work with business units to formulate banking products and contribute technical guidance to the procurement process.
  • Analyze product requirements and design best-fit architecture and solutions guided by KCBT policies and industry best practice.
  • Manage the project resources, schedule, costs, stakeholders, and the application development lifecycle
  • Implement best practice and deploy appropriate tools to manage and govern application development and the IT change process.
  • Actively engage end-users to assess satisfaction and achieve successful project closure.
  • Work with functional teams to handover system support skills and documentation and formulate OLA agreements with level 3 support.
  • Identify and champion innovative solutions that exploit existing business opportunities and mitigate existing risks.
  • Manage the team’s performance and nurture skills that advance the IT strategy and establish sustainable practice.
  • Develop, execute and measure OLAs and SLAs with IT functional teams and business units respectively.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate and analyze requests to implement new applications to resolve business challenges and improve efficiency of processes.

  • Evaluate and analyze requests to modify existing software systems and applications where either anomalies have been detected or the process is inefficient.

  • Distribute and manage the workload among the application developers.

  • Manage the application development life cycle, ensuring that the application development policy is adhered to.

  • Engage with business in formulating strategies that ride on software systems to take advantage of business opportunities

  • Provide support to the banking operations administrators and operators in resolving core banking anomalies and refining operations.
