27 Job Vacancies at National Museum of Tanzania (NMT) June 2026, The National Museum of Tanzania (NMT) is a body corporate established under Section 3(1) of the National Museum of Tanzania Act No. 7 of 1980 (Cap. 281), as amended from time to time. It is a strategic national institution endowed with specialized expertise and professional competence in the conservation, management, and development of antiquities in the United Republic of Tanzania.
In accordance with the Antiquities Policy of 2008, the National Museum of Tanzania Act (Cap. 281), and the Antiquities Act (Cap. 333), the Institution is mandated to oversee the conservation and development of antiquities for cultural, social, historical, and scientific purposes, while also contributing to the national economy through antiquities tourism and other related heritage development initiatives.
The Directorate of Museums and Antiquities comprises two (2) main divisions, namely the Research, Conservation and Protection Division, and the Programmes, Exhibitions and Development Division.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
1. All applicants must be citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania and must not be above 45 years of age. However, for vacancies within Paramilitary Institutions:
Applicants for non-degree posts must not exceed 25 years of age.
Applicants for degree posts must not exceed 30 years of age.
