The company is a subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti, an international gold producer headquartered in South Africa, with operations in more than ten countries, in four continents. The mine is situated in the Lake Victoria Gold fields of Northwestern Tanzania, only about 85 km’s from Mwanza City and 20 km’s Southeast of the nearest point of Lake Victoria.
The company has its head office in Geita, only 5 Km’s west of the fast-growing town of Geita, and also a supporting office in Dar es Salaam.

1. POSITION Operator 1 – TFM
OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE
Conduct work as a member of the Engineering team and deliver the planned performance of the department safely, with zero injuries and at the lowest practical unit cost.
Comply with company requirements to safely, correctly and efficiently complete approved work and tasks.
Carry out fuel delivery to equipment in the pit areas and other areas as required.
Drive the fuel truck and dispense fuel to equipment.
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Ensure safe working procedures are followed for all refuelling operations.
• Strictly adhere to GGM Safety policies and practises.
• Be trustworthy and diligent when carrying out your duties.
• Show initiation and respect to interact with the team.
• Be punctual and on time when reporting for duty
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Education & Qualification
• Secondary education and above, with valid Tanzanian driving license E.
• HDV-Certificate from a college where this category was achieved.
• Defensive Driving or Master-drive is an added advantage.
Experience
• A minimum of three years of experience in driving heavy duty vehicles, especially in the mining industry.
• Ability to accurately record fuel transactions and reconcile daily with the Fuel Reconciliation Officer with zero variance.
• Experience in driving Benz trucks, especially Actros, will be an added advantage.
Knowledge & Skills
• Ability to identify and report faulty components on Mercedes Benz Actros 3340 trucks.
• Mining pits area driving competences.
• Steep terrain driving competences.
• Advising the supervisor of any situations or conditions that could create obstacles to, or opportunities for, the work of the managerial team or company.
• Ability to act as a supervisor when assigned.
• Awareness that fuel is a significant cost and must be diligently and accurately managed.
• No criminal record.
2.POSITION Technical Specialist – Auto Electrician UG
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Deliver advanced maintenance and repair support for underground heavy mining equipment with a focus on RCT systems.
Diagnose faults and perform repairs on remote systems and electrical components.
Train, coach, and transfer skills to national auto-electricians; monitor and report on development progress.
Conduct diagnostic electrical tests and provide specialist advice to the UG Engineering Superintendent.
Coordinate parts ordering and liaise with planners, agents, and manufacturers to resolve issues efficiently.
Complete required documentation and ensure effective repair of vehicles and plant, including petrol and diesel equipment.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Education & Qualification
Recognized trade certificate in Auto Electrical work and Air Conditioning and Radio Communication.
Preferred trainer/coach qualification (certification/Diploma).
Experience
8 – 10+ years in heavy underground mining equipment maintenance.
Experience with detailed maintenance strategies for underground equipment.
Proven trainer/coach experience.
Knowledge & Skills
Extensive RCT systems capability.
Competence in repairing and maintaining a wide range of mobile and stationary equipment.
Safe and accountable operation of tools and equipment.
Problem solving using approved work methods.
Effective English communication and ability to maintain daily logs.
Safety focus, teamwork and leadership, analytical ability, job knowledge, and supervision.
Budgeting/cost control, stress and time management, and sound decision-making for safe, efficient work.
3. POSITION Coordinator 1 – QAQC
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Work safely and in accordance with procedures and site safety standards.
Inspect equipment for damages or defects, record in registers and escalate to the supervisor for planning or budgeting.
Execute mining equipment maintenance per approved standards and procedures; repair equipment and report completion to Specialist 1 – Quality Maintenance.
Ensure work meets OEM standards and supports equipment availability and reliability after release to production.
Maintain good housekeeping and report unsafe equipment immediately.
Plan work before execution, carry out assigned tasks, and meet delivery deadlines to optimize resource use
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Education & Qualification
Form four Certificate.
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Full Technician (FTC) in Mechanical Engineering.
Veta Trade Test Certificate.
Valid Tanzania Driving License.
Experience
Five years or more as a Mechanic maintaining CAT machines, Bell Trucks, Normet machines, Sandvik Machines, the 170, RH 40 excavators, graders, DT10 dozers and 336 excavators.
Proven troubleshooting and maintenance experience on CAT Equipment and Sandvik Machines.
Experience in driving Benz trucks, especially Actros, is an added advantage.
Experience with Mercedes Benz Actros 3340 trucks.
Knowledge & Skills
Read and understand maintenance manuals.
Deliver quality workmanship and complete equipment release checklists before release.
Provide oversight for component rebuilds to meet OEM overhaul standards.
Support Rebuild Team Mechanics to follow stripping, inspection, assembling and testing procedures for component quality and reliability.
Diligent and accurate fuel management.
Teamwork, organization, and adherence to company values and legal requirements.
