The company is a subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti, an international gold producer headquartered in South Africa, with operations in more than ten countries, in four continents.
The mine is situated in the Lake Victoria Gold fields of Northwestern Tanzania, only about 85 km’s from Mwanza City and 20 km’s Southeast of the nearest point of Lake Victoria. The company has its head office in Geita, only 5 Km’s west of the fast-growing town of Geita, and also a supporting office in Dar es Salaam.

1: Specialist Trainer- Underground Equipment

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Education & Qualification
A recognized training and assessment certificate.
Recognized certificate on Jumbo (Sandvik DD421 or higher models) operation
A recognized certificate on completion of secondary (or above) education
Certificate in underground mine blasting from any recognized institute
Certificate on Cable bolter (Sandvik) and In-The-Hole (ITH) operation may be an added advantage
Experience, Knowledge and Skills
At least 8+ years of operating the Jumbo for mechanical scaling, installation of ground support
and boring (on development drive, strip, inclines, and declines) in different underground mine
At least 2 years’ experience of working as a Jumbo trainer, shift trainer or on the job coacher
Any experience on charging and blasting activities for underground mine (development)
Considerable knowledge of underground mining operations to achieve production targets
Any experience of leadership or supervision
A good experience of working with people from different nations with different cultures with good behavior records.
Experience of operating Cable bolter and In-The-Hole (ITH) may be an added advantage
Valid driving license with class B/D and G/F or international equivalent license
Licensed/certified Jumbo operator.
Tanzanian Legislative and regulatory compliance
Jumbo Operation as per OEM standard to achieve production targets
Reading and interpreting Mine Instruction and geotechnical designs or plans
Performing basic/operator maintenance on Jumbo
Driving a manual transmission vehicle (Toyota) in underground environment
Charging and blasting in underground mine (development)
Training, assessment, and operator skill gap analysis
Fluent in spoken and written English language
Capable of writing reports by using M/S word and M/S excel
Capable of presenting a report using M/s power point
Good Communication skills and emotional intelligence
Good Leadership, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Good knowledge on other underground mine activities
Basic operational knowledge on other drill rigs like Cable bolter, Solo, or ITH
2: Tradesperson 1, UG Fitter Mechanics
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Education & Qualification
Form IV Secondary Education with VETA Qualification Grade I/Level Three
Diploma/Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in Mechanical Engineering
Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering is an added advantage
Experience
Minimum 2 years in manufacturing, mining, or a related industry with experience on centrifugal pumps, submersible pumps, mono pumps (oil, slurry and water), gearboxes, fans, pump stations, and compressors
Knowledge & Skills
Physically and mentally fit; hard-working with basic trade skills
Ability to read, understand, and use plant technical manuals
Strong teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities
Able to work under pressure with minimal supervision
Specialized equipment training as required
Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office/basic computer skills
Valid Tanzania Driving Licence Class D and above is an added advantage
3: Tools & Parts Coordinator – HME Field S
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Education & Qualification
VETA Grade Test level 1-3 in Motor Vehicle Mechanic or FTC/Diploma in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering.
Degree or equivalent will be an additional advantage.
Experience
Not less than 5 years’ experience on HME mining machines.
Experienced in HME and computer literate.
Competence in SIS &OK Information manual.
Knowledge in tools control software.
Driving competence.
Knowledge & Skills
Skilled in Mechanical and Auto Electrical.
Competent on HME equipment.
Able to read and interpret technical drawing.
Organizational skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to act when assigned.
