1. PRINCIPAL – SINGIDA POLYTECHNICN COLLEGE

Number of Positions: 1

Job Responsibilities

 To lead and supervise all academic, administrative and development activities of the College.

To oversee the implementation of applicable policies, plans, regulations and educational standards.

 Manage staff, resources, budget and expenditure of the College effectively and responsibly.

Ensure the quality of teaching, learning, assessment and services provided to students.

Represent the College in meetings, collaborations and various institutional activities.

Applicant Qualifications

Must have a Master’s Degree or PhD in Education, Educational Leadership, Educational Administration or other related field.

Must have at least five (5) years of experience in leadership or management of an educational institution.

Must have strong leadership, planning, decision-making and management skills.

 Must have integrity, responsibility and good communication skills.

2. HR OFFICER

Number of Positions: 1

Job Responsibilities

● Manage employment issues, contracts, leave, attendance and records of employees.

● Coordinate the processes of recruiting, receiving and inducting new employees.

● Manage the implementation of human resources policies, procedures and regulations.

● Maintain and update employee information and files.

● Advise Management on various human resources and administrative issues.

Applicant Qualifications

● Must have a minimum of a Diploma in Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Business Administration or a related field.

● Applicants with a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field will be given priority.

● Proficient in the use of computers and human resource management systems.

● Experience in human resource or administrative activities will be an added advantage.

3. SUPPLY OFFICER

Number of Positions: 1

Job Responsibilities

● Manage the procurement, supply and availability of goods and services required by the University.

● Prepare and maintain records of procurement, equipment and assets of the University.

● Monitor the receipt, storage and distribution of equipment to relevant departments.

● Collaborate with Management in preparing procurement and supply plans.

● Ensure procurement and supply procedures are followed with transparency and accountability.

Applicant Qualifications

● Possess a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement andSupply Management, Materials Management, Logistics or a related field.

● Have knowledge of procurement, supply and record keeping systems.

● Must be computer literate, especially Microsoft Office.

● Experience in procurement or supply chain will be an added advantage.

4. DRIVERS

Number of Positions: 3

Job Responsibilities

● Drive College vehicles safely and in compliance with road safety laws.

● Transport staff, visitors, documents and equipment as directed.

● Conduct regular vehicle inspections and ensure the vehicle is maintained in good condition.

● Maintain vehicle trip, fuel and maintenance records.

● Provide early notification of vehicle malfunctions or maintenance needs.

Applicant Qualifications

● Must have a minimum of Form IV education.

● Must have a valid driver’s license appropriate for the type of vehicle to be assigned.

● Must have at least two (3) years of driving experience.

● Must be honest, disciplined and adhere to road safety laws.

5. REGIONAL COORDINATORS

Number of Positions: 15

Job Responsibilities

● Coordinate the activities and programs of the College in the assigned region.

● Supervise the implementation of academic activities, admissions and services to students in the relevant area.

● Connect the College with students, educational stakeholders and various institutions in the region.

● Monitor the implementation of the College’s plans and goals in the region and submit progress reports.

● Support outreach, marketing and student admissions activities.

Applicant Qualifications

● Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Administration, Management, Community Development, Marketing or a related field.

● Have good coordination, leadership and communication skills.

● Be proficient in the use of computers and digital systems.

● Experience in education, program coordination or community activities will be an added advantage.

6. CHINESE LANGUAGE TEACHERS

Number of Positions: 10

Job Responsibilities

● Teach Chinese language according to the curriculum and standards set by the College.

● Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials and student assessments.

● Monitor students’ progress in reading, writing, listening and speaking Chinese.

● Prepare and mark students’ exams, exercises and assignments.

● Participate in academic activities and language and culture programs.

Applicant Qualifications

● Hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Chinese Language, Education, Language or a related field.

● Have a good ability to speak, read and write Chinese.

● Recognized Chinese language proficiency certificates, such as HSK, will be an added advantage.

● Experience in teaching Chinese will be given priority.

7. DISTANCE EDUCATION OFFICERS

Number of Positions: 4

Job Responsibilities

● Coordinate the implementation of distance education programs and ensure students receive appropriate services.

● Monitor the participation, progress and needs of students studying in the distance learning system.

● Coordinate communication between students, instructors and academic departments.

● Support the distribution of learning materials and the use of digital educational systems.

● Prepare reports on the implementation and development of distance education programs.

Applicant Qualifications

● Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Educational Technology, Distance Education, Educational Management or a related field.

● Have an understanding of distance education systems and online learning.

● Have good ability to use computers and Learning Management Systems (LMS).

● Experience in distance education or e-learning will be an added advantage.

8. EDUCATION QUALITY ASSURANCERS

Number of Positions: 4

Job Responsibilities

● Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching, learning and curriculum implementation.

● Conduct academic assessments and ensure that educational standards are met.

● Review lesson plans, teaching materials and implementation of academic activities.

● Prepare quality reports and make recommendations for improvements.

● Collaborate with instructors and Management in improving the quality of education.

Applicant Qualifications

● Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Quality Assurance in Education, Educational Management or a related field.

● Have a good understanding of curricula, teaching, assessment and quality assurance systems.

● Have the ability to conduct assessment, analysis and prepare academic reports.

● Experience in teaching or quality assurance of education will be an added advantage.

9. CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICER AND REGISTER

Number of Positions: 1

Job Responsibilities

● Receive and serve students, applicants, visitors and other stakeholders of the College.

● Answer questions and provide accurate information about programs, admissions and College services.

● Receive and follow up on customer comments, complaints and challenges until they are resolved.

● Handle communications via telephone, email and digital systems.

● Maintain service records and ensure customers receive timely and professional service.

Applicant Qualifications

● Hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Customer Service, Public Relations, Business Administration, Marketing, Communication or a related field.

● Have excellent communication skills in Swahili and English.

● Have good computer and communication system skills.

● Experience in customer service, front office or educational environment will be an added advantage

10. HEAD OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (IT)

Number of Positions: 1

Job Responsibilities

● Lead and manage all IT systems of the College.

● Manage networks, servers, information systems, websites, databases and digital infrastructure.

● Ensure security, accessibility and secure storage of information and systems of the College.

● Manage the resolution of technical challenges and provide IT support to staff and students.
● Develop and implement strategies for the development and improvement of the College’s technology.

Applicant Qualifications

● Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a related field.

● Have at least three (3) years of experience in IT, preferably in a management position.

● Have knowledge of networks, databases, systems security, server administration and digital systems.

● Professional certifications in IT will be an added advantage.

11. HEAD OF DISTANCE EDUCATION (E-LEARNING)

Number of Positions: 1

Job Responsibilities

● To lead and supervise all distance education and e-learning activities of the College.

● To prepare and manage plans, systems and strategies for the provision of education through distance.

● To supervise the use and development of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other digital learning platforms.

● To coordinate trainers, distance education officers and other stakeholders in the provision of programs.

● To monitor the quality, participation and progress of students and prepare reports on the performance of the department.

Applicant Qualifications

● Must have a Master’s Degree in Education, Educational Technology

● Have at least three (3) years of experience in education, distance learning, e-learning or academic program management.

● Have knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS), educational technologies and online learning systems.

● Have strong leadership, coordination, planning and team management skills.

12. ACCOUNTANT Position 1

Responsibilities

Manage all income, expenditure and financial records of the College.

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.

Manage fee collection and monitor student debt.

Prepare budget and monitor expenditure according to the approved budget.

Perform bank reconciliation and maintain payment documents.

Manage accounting systems and ensure all transactions are entered accurately.

Prepare documents and information required for audit.

Ensure that the College’s financial procedures, regulations and policies are followed.

Applicant Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from a recognized university.

Must have good knowledge of accounting systems, Microsoft Excel and computer usage.

Must be honest, diligent, disciplined and have strong ability to maintain financial confidentiality.

Experience in accounting work, especially in an educational institution, will be an added advantage.
