Job Vacancies at Bariadi District Council September 2026, The Executive Director of Bariadi District Council invites job applications from qualified and capable Tanzanians to fill 4 positions as outlined in this announcement;

1.0 OFFICE MANAGEMENT SECRETARY GRADE II – 4 Positions

1.1 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

i. Typing letters, reports, and documents (both routine and confidential);

ii. Receiving visitors, listening to their concerns, and directing them to where they can receive assistance;

iii. Maintaining records of events, appointments, meeting dates, the supervisor’s travels, and other work schedules;

iv. Retrieving files and documents required for the execution of work duties;

v. Receiving files and distributing them to officers in the relevant Department/Unit/Section;

vi. Collecting, maintaining, and returning files and documents to the appropriate locations;

vii. Preparing agendas and making arrangements for various meetings;

viii. Preparing a list of office supply requirements; and ix. Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Recruitment of Form Four or Form Six leavers holding a Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Secretarial Studies.

Additionally, they must have passed Swahili and English shorthand at a speed of 80 words per minute (w.p.m.) and received training in office computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, E-mail, and Publisher from any government-recognized institution.

1.3 SALARY SCALE TGS C

GENERAL CONDITIONS

1. All applicants must be citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania and not exceed 45 years of age.

However, for positions within military institutions:

Applicants for non-degree positions must not exceed 25 years of age.

Applicants for degree-level positions must not exceed 30 years of age.

2. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and must specify the nature of their disability within the job application system to inform the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat.

3. All applicants must attach a birth certificate certified by an Advocate/Lawyer.

4. Applicants currently employed in the Public Service should NOT apply and are required to adhere to the instructions contained in circular reference number CAC45/257/01/D/140 dated 30 November 2010.

5. All applications must be accompanied by academic certificates, transcripts, and copies of certificates certified by an Advocate/Lawyer—specifically birth certificates and certificates of completion for various training courses relevant to the job qualifications

(e.g., Postgraduate, Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma, Certificates) and professional certificates from respective boards.

6. Testimonials, provisional results, statements of results, and Form IV and Form VI result slips will NOT be accepted.

7. Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure their certificates have been verified and approved by the relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, and NACTVET).

Applicants for cadres requiring a GPA who studied abroad must attach a GPA conversion certificate from TCU.

8. Applicants who have retired from the Public Service are not permitted to apply unless they hold authorization from the Chief Secretary.

9. Legal action will be taken against individuals who submit forged information or qualifications. 10.
